If it still works there is not a real problem, cause the sensor is probably still okay:) you can go to canon store and try to replace the screen..

Nikon coolpix L20 was accidently sat on and viewfinder seems cracked or at least will not display although the pictures turned out ok.

The LCD is damaged and you need to get it changed or repaired in some service center. Otherwise the camera is fine.

Nikon D50 Flashes Err and clicks

This screen shows areas of the photo that are overexposed slightly.
It flashes them to help you.
You get to this screen by pressing the up or down arrows when displaying the pictures you have taken.

To change it just press the up arrow when the camera is showing the screen until you get a display without flashing.

Once you have done this the display will be steady.
If you get any other screen in future you may have accidently pressed the arrow again.
Just cycle thru the displays to get back to steady.

thank u

That's tough to say without knowing where you are. You're best bet is to consult your local Nikon-authorized service rep.

Nikon D50 will not show charge

good day

first, you must let your camera dry before attempting to turn it on to avoid short circuiting the boards inside.

since dismantling a camera to make it thoroughly dry needs a technical skill, i suggest that you refer it to a competent technician so s/he can check for the damage that the moisture did. they must let your camera dry before attempting to turn it on again.

check with your neerest Nikon service center.

i hope this will help

Nikon D50 lcd problem

I'm sure that the auction/sale has ended for this, but I'll go ahead and answer it. Yes, it could be a simple loose/broken cable. But when it comes to cameras, is that a good thing? Something had to jar that cable. Nikon builds are strong, possibly the strongest. The guy who owns that camera was probably very rough with it, and therefore MUCH more could possibly be wrong it (fractures, scratches, etc.)

I bought my d50 used, but the guy I bought it from was smart enough to take SEVERAL pictures, including that of the glass, the mirror, display, everything. I had the option of buying a d50 for $150, and all it had wrong with it was a crack going along the outside of the analog lcd and down part of the camera. Problem was, how hard did he drop it? He might have even knocked the internals around!

Save yourself headaches, and most probably expensive future investments, and be sure what you're buying is in mint condition (body scratches and general wear on rubber grips, etc. aside). Most people who own SLRs (with exceptions to some professionals) cradle their cameras like it's their baby.

Nikon D50 Lens won't work

I have a D50 as well but never experienced this problem. One thing to check as you already mentioned are the metal connections between the lens and the camera body. Make sure they're clean and shiny. Another thing to try would be switching between AF and MF modes on the lens itself.
