Question about Kenmore 52632 / 52634 / 52639 Side by Side Refrigerator
We want to disable the water the dispenser for our fridge, mostly because our two yr old is making a huge mess. Any ideas?? It would be nice to keep the ice dispenser working, but if both have to be disabled, then so be it!!
If it has water and ice, the inlet valve will have at least 2 coils. You can pull the fridge out, take off the bottom panel and pull the 2 wire connector off just the water coil. Depending on the fridge, there may be multiple choices, look for the tube that does not run up the back of the fridge and disconnect the wires going to it. Then try the water dispenser, if you don't have water you should be ok, if you still do, replace the wires you've taken off and try another connector.

Tips for a great answer:
Thank you for your post, friend!
I understand that you are seeing a brown liquid come from under your dispenser area. I would recommend you having a professional come out to your appliance to check and assure the water lines are connected properly and not developing any moisture problems to form from under your dispenser. I hope this is helpful. -Matt
