Question about Canon ImageClass D880 Copier

Prints blank pages

Changed toner cartridge & the problem remains. Will not print, just send a blank page thru. Even a report is blank, Help what am I not doing right

    The exposure light comes on. The cartridge was changed with a cartridge from a working machine. The pages are completely blank. The report page is blank. What could it be?

    Is the exposure lite coming on? Check the cartridge make sure it is installed all the way or even try a second cartridge. Usually no copy or lines on copy, etc come form the cartridge area in laser style machines.

Sounds like a power supply problem most likely the DC power supply. This applies power to the cartridge to transfer the image to the drum and seperation. How old is machine, Is it possible to be under warranty?

The problem with this is the design. Each toner cartridge has a microchip on it, that counts the pages you print. The company has determined that you get x amounts of prints. Then you have to replace it, empty or not. This printers do not work the same way as an expensive professional business copier. In an pro style there is a spent toner cartridge that collects all of the wasted toner that is on the drum. On a small business/home style this spent toner goes back into the cartridge. There is no level indicator, even on the inkjet printer. They too, have a chip that says you have x amount of prints/cleaning cycles they can go through. Look up inkjet refill kits or inkjet cartridge programmer.

My printer is printing blank.


Unless drum low warnings have been ignored for a significant amount of time, this is most likely to be a toner cartridge issue.

I would recommend running off 15-30 pages in the hope that this pulls some toner through. Failing this I would recommend replacing the toner cartridge.

This is almost certainly an issue with the toner cartridge. I would recommend running off 30 or so prints and contacting whoever the cartridge was purchased from if the toner doesn't pull through.

When i send a test page from the printer p3005x it print blank page


Hello, Try a different cartridge if you have one (even a used one). Does it print anything? If "Yes" then the printer is most likely OK and the fault lies with the Toner Cartridge. Checks - 1) the Drum Flap operation, does it move freely. 2) Check the electrical contacts, look for bent pins or toner accumulation on the contacts. Replace the Toner Cartridge with a new one. If "NO" the Printer still prints blank with multiple cartridges, the a printer may need servicing, check the left side of the inside of the printer, this is where the toner cartrisge contacts are located, check for bent pins or paper obstructing the pins. Black Prints


The toner might be bad, because the old cartridge is working fine.

Printer prints blank on paper


Open the door half way through a page print and pull out toner cartridge. The page should be in the toner cartridige. If you can see the printed image then the fuser is the problem if you see nothing then the toner is bad or has a protective sleeve inside that needs to be pulled out from one of the ends.

Blank pages


Even though I changed my black and colored ink cartridges twice, the printer still prints blank pages. What should I do?

Blank papers


Try again the old toner cartridge if you still have it. Even though the print quality might be bad, see if there is a printout. If the page is not blank like the others, that is an indication that the new cartridge is defective and has to be replaced.

Prints blank page even when used by itself


weird, this problem accours almost only in lazerjets. anyway, you can try the following: 1. Unplug data cable. 2. plug power cord directly to socket (as opposed to extension) . 3. remove memory card. 4. changed toner cartridge. also, the info in the following page may assist you: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q189764/
