The answer to your first question is yes, your computer is compatible with the MAC OS. However it is very important to continue to ask this question to the MAC Salesperson you deal with when purchasing the software.

The answer to your second question is to do with Heat. Your computer is overheating and is therefore slowing down so it does not fry your CPU. You need to ensure that the Processor Heat sink is making proper contact with the CPU and the fan is connected to the computer main board. Clean the computer of all dust and install as many fans as your computer chassis will allow.
I think this chassis supports up to 80mm fans.

A well cooled computer chassis will work efficiently and effectively.

The Cooler Master Geminii S CPU cooler is a very good CPU cooler for your Processor.
It will reduce the temperature of your Processor by several degrees.

It is very important to get as much, cooler fresh air into your computer chassis as possible. As this will mean that your computer system will run at a far cooler temperature.

CAN I UPGRADE TO MAVERICKS ON APPLE MACBOOK 2007 LAPTOP

Yes anything with a core 2 duo should work. The only requirement that I'm aware of is 64bit processor and Core 2 Duo is just that. Now if it was a Core Duo (or Core Solo) this would not work.

UPGRADE

The Compaq 6910P motherboard can use the following Intel Core 2 Duo processors: T7700, T7500, T7300, and T7100. You can find the details on page 1 (page 9 of the PDF) in the Maintenance and Service Guide: http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/manualsResults/?sp4ts.oid=3357377&spf_p.tpst=psiContentResults&spf_p.prp_psiContentResults=wsrp-navigationalState%3Daction%253Dmanualslist%257Ccontentid%253DService-and-maintenance%257Clang%253Den&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken .

I hope this helps.

Want to upgrade my HP TouchSmart IQ504 Desktop PC 2.0GHz processor for a 3.1 ghz ?

First, have you ever changed/upgraded a CPU? It take quite a bit of research to upgrage. If you look at this spec of the Mobo your options are very limited, The Mobo only supports 2 different type Processors, 1, Core 2 Duo (Merom); http://ark.intel.com/products/codename/2683/Merom , 2 Core 2 Duo (Penryn): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penryn_(microprocessor) If you have a 64bit OS consider a memory upgrade, if you haven't already. Sims 3 wont install onto my powerbook G4

Sims 3 will not run on a mac that isn't using an Intel based processor. You will have to upgrade from a Power-PC processor in order to use the latest version of sims.

How can I boost up mac mini 2007

Your best bet beyond maxing out memory will be upgrading to an SSD. Depending on your operating system and versions of installed software, try using a program like XSlimmer to remove any powerpc files included in universal bundles.

I am attempting to upgrade an x3650 7979, currently running a duo core to a quad core. The machine turns on, the fans go into overdrive, but the machine won't run a post nor boot. I have looked at the...

Duo core motherboards will not support the bus speed or the power output to power on that processor. You need to upgrade the motherboard with the new processor.

Macbook wont run limewire

Depending which version of Limewire you have updated to, and what Mac you have the Mac OS may no longer support the Java it needs to run.
First try updating your mac to the most current version. If that doesn't help you, take lime wire and throw it in your trash.
Look for an older version of Limewire I know 4.18.8 works very well on older Macs.

you can find it here:
http://www.oldapps.com/limewire.php?old_limewire=5?download

this from lime wire:
LimeWire 5 requires Java version 1.6 to run. Both require Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard running on an Intel 64-bit processor. To find out what processor you are using, go to the Apple menu and select "About This Mac". LimeWire 5 will run on Core 2 Duo and Xeon processors, but it will not run on Core Duo or PowerPC processors because Apple has not released an updated Java version for older systems. More information is available on the Apple website:

Re aspire 7104 being upgraded to duo core processor

No it cant be updated

Your acer aspire is based on the 910GML chipset

The Mobile Intel® 910GML Express chipset is optimized for the Intel® Celeron® M processor.

Here you can compare the 910gml chipset and 945 which is used by the core 2 duo.

http://compare.intel.com/pcc/showchart.aspx?mmID=22210,7419&familyID=7&culture=en-US

As you can see on the page there are key difrences between the chipsets other runs on ddr2, yours on ddr. the FSB support is 400 on yours and 533 / 667 on the 945.

also you can see the supported processor familys right there.

you can look for a
Intel® Celeron® M processor,
Intel® Celeron® M processor Ultra Low Voltage (ULV)

Upgrade cpu with maximum FSB of 400MHz
