You need to have some one check out the main board and see if the audio amplifier is out. This should have been what they tested in the repair shops. If this is true then you need to get the part number and try to find the part and have someone replace it for you.On the hand this may be a problem with the speakers and speaker connections. a Then you just need to repair the connection or replace the speakers. The best way to find help for these repairs at low cost is to find local schools that teach Television repair courses and allow people to bring in their Televisions for repair at the cost of parts only. The only problem with this is that it may take some time for the repair and getting the parts if available. You can speed up this process by helping them locate the parts and going to get them. You can call TruTech customer service at these numbers for help find parts and technical assistance : 1-800-525-6123 and 1-888-525-6252. I hope this helps you with your problem.

I have a 19" beige-colored TV-VCR combination TV, purchased about 10 years ago. I absolutely love it, and have not had any problems with it. However, since using a headset that allows the sound to come...

The headset jack is probably damaged. A replacement jack is probably just a few dollars but the labor charge to get to the jack may be cost prohibitive. I would suggest you take the TV to a local repair shop and ask them to give you an estimate on the repair. If it is reason that may be the best solution. If it is very costly (you need to consider the age of the set) you might be better off with a new TV. Good luck.

Popping sound and nothing works

You could have a power issue, or any number of issues with some of your chip boards. As the inside of TV's store a lethal amount of electricity I would strongly advise you get the tv checked by an RCA repairman. It may end up costing you more money to fix the issue than repair it. Ask the tech to give you an estimate before any repairs take place.

Has Sound but no picture

Unfortunately, 2% to 4% of consumer electronics are either defective on the store shelf (I got my TV home, plugged it in, and it wouldn't turn on) or they develop a defect during the warranty period or shortly thereafter. So, even though you just bought the unit two months ago, if you have sound but no picture, the unit needs to be repaired or exchanged.

As long as you have the receipt, you should still be in warranty since the shortest warranty for name brand electronics is 90 days from the date of purchase. Contact the manufacturer to obtain the warranty procedure. This will likely involve you sending the unit back to them at your expense and they will send you a repaired, refurbished, or new player.

If you feel this solution doesn't deserve a good rating, please let me know why so that I may assist you better. If there is anything more I can do to help, I will!

Hello

If your TV is an LCD (flat/thin panel), then it's 19", not 20". Support for that TV is at http://www.1800customersupport.com/trutech. But, if you have a Trutech tube TV, then it won't be listed on that website, and they won't be able to help you. In that case, call Target Customer Service (1.800.440.0680), and they should be able to put you in touch with the manufacturer, who can sell you a new remote control.
