If you have the same one I have, the Basix BX-PC 102 12 digit printing calculator it doesn't use a ribbon. (maybe that's why there's so inexpensive) It uses an ink roll - IR 40T. I'm searching for one locally now and can't find it. It seems you have to order them online.

How do you change ink on a canon p20-dh calculator

For accounting offices and stores, calculators that produce a printed paper are indispensable. Canon's desktop or commercial printing calculators use ribbon tape, and you'll need to change the ribbon when it is used up. All Canon desktop and commercial printing calculators use the same method for changing the ribbon.
  • Turn off the calculator.
  • Pull up on the tab on the far side of the printer cover to remove the cover.
  • Pinch together the ribbon lock (the arrow shows you the direction to pinch). Lift the ribbon spools off the shafts and discard them.
  • Separate the new ribbon spools. Guide the ribbon tape around the four guiding pegs and set the spools on the shafts. The spools should be peg side down.
  • Rotate the spools so the peg at the bottom of the spool goes into the hole of the spool holder. Release the ribbon locks.
  • Rotate the spools to make the ribbon taut, keeping the ribbon positioned around the guide pegs.
  • Replace the printer cover and turn the calculator on.

Any way to tell me how to ink this machine. It belongs to my church and no one knows how to ink it.

You don't mention the machine, but they have three inking systems.
A ribbon on two spools.
A ribbon in a removable cassette.
An ink pad.

There will be a cover you can take off. See what you have?

Standard 2-1/4 inch wide plain paper single copy calculator paper rolls, available at Office Depot, Reliable Office Supplies, and many other office supply stores and catalogs. Probably have them at Staples, too.

How do i replace ink cartridge

Remove the paper scroll from the printer. Turn off the power and make sure the print wheel has stopped moving.

Slide the printer cover toward the back of the machine to remove it. Lift out the old ribbon and replace it with the new one by facing the black side of the ribbon up. Secure one of the reels to its reel shaft, thread the ribbon around the outside of the metal guides, and secure the other reel to the opposite reel shaft.

Tighten any slack ribbon by turning one of the reels

Replace the print cover and reset the paper scroll.

I need the paper roll arms for this calculator - or the part number for them so I can search that way. Are they even available? Thanks for your help.

I just spoke with a Casio Part Rep 1-800-223-2001. The part is $1 to replace. To ship it is $9. You can buy the same calculator new for $20 at Office Depot. Hope this helps!

Button cell battery (original: VINNIC L1131, replacements: Energizer 389/390 or Duracell D390)
Location: upper right hand corner under metal battery clip
To replace battery: gently pry up left tab and slide new battery with + side facing up (writing visible).
Gently push tab back down
Next: Look at circuit board, locate double arrows
Follow directions: "please press "RESET" after replacing battery"
I just touched the metal flow solder plate (small circle with squiggles) above the words "RESET" with a small screwdriver

Canon Calculator; P28-D

Hi there, there are a couple possibilities. First, Remove the cover where the paper feeds out, if there is a ribbon or an ink roller in there it will need replacing. This you can get a staples. The other possibility is, if there is no ribbon or ink roll, it is probably a thermal printer which means is uses a special heat sensitive paper. If this started when you changed the paper, this is most likely the problem. This you can also get at staples!
