My samsung handset is of basic model. its samsung Guru. til yesterday i was able to make calls and send messages. today all of a sudden, whenever i dial a number, it says >> CALL BARRED and whenever i try to send a msg, it just says ERROR. i dont know wat to do as the handset is basic and there are not too many options available on the phone to solve. And i dont remember doing anything related to call barring so tat this problem could occur.

you need to get the DNS and WAP settings from your service provider. Please call your service provider tell them to send you the settings for your handset which they will send via text message , open the message and save it in your phone
If you're putting a "1" in front of the number (eg. 1-123-555-1234) try taking it off, or adding it onto the number your are trying to text, and try calling it to make sure you typed the number correctly. You, or someone could've accidently went into your contacts and inadvertantly modified the number you are trying to text.
Hello! Have you re-registered the handsets? If not go to page 39...If you have re-registered the handsets...Pull the batteries for 1 hour...reinstall batteries...allow handsets to set in the cradle for 1 minute then test...
i have the same problem. i have been using this cell for about one year and suddenly this probelm has occured. if i put my sim in another cell phone, i can send messages with the same sim. otherwise, in this set, my messages are send to outbox and in resend state. i can recieve calls/messages but cannot send sms thrugh my samsung. please help! i have checked my message settings. they are all okay.
Try checking the status of your phone tracker. It's somewhere in the security setting. It will automatically send messages to the number you indicated whenever you change simcards. I hope this helps.
