Question about Panasonic Audio Players & Recorders
Hi this is John I'm hoping somebody can help me. I have a technicslinear tracking turntable and the grease has become sticky and driedup. The tonarm has a problem tracking the record because of the grease.I tried removing the old grease and replacing it with phonolube butit's for gears. The grease I'm looking for is silicon based and I thinkit's similar to the kind they use in sunroofs which is for slidingsurfaces. I appreciate your help. Thanks!
Not sure what your question is? Linear tracking turntables also have an assortment of gears and pulleys which make it function correctly. Sometimes the drive belt will break, other times, the gears will crack. You will have to open her up, and take a look inside to see if there are any components which are damaged. There may also be grease applied to the gears, which might also be preventing it from moving properly.
