TEXT MESSAGES WITH PICTURE ATTACHMENTS

MY WIFE BOUGHT AN UNLOCKED RAZR V3 FROM EBAY ... MOVED HER SIM CARD FROM HER OLD V557 ...EVERYTHING WORKS FINE EXCEPT WHEN SHE TRIES TO SEND A PICTURE OR RECEIVE A PICTURE WITH TEST -- SHE GETS A MESSAGE THAT IT CANNOT DOWNLOAD BECAUSE SHE HAS INSUFFICIENT MEMORY -- BUT WHEN YOU CHECK HER MEMORY AMOUNT -- IT SHOWS BARELY IN USE .. WE REMOVED ALL THE OTHER PICTURES AND VIDEO JUST IN CASE BUT IT STILL IS NOT WORKING ... WHAT CAN I DO?

    hey guys ,how are you? ido have aproblem with my motorola v3,when I try to send a voice message to someone it says can not send the file.Could you please help?

    Customer support is telling me that the MID # is T-Mobile only even if the phone is unlocked to recognize the calling part of the Cingular/ATT network. The phone has to access the internet and the T-Mobile branded phone, they say, cannot be modified to access Cingular internet network... does this sound right?

    ok i got my moms old razr phone and it sucks i cant send pictures of recieve picture. i deleted all my pictures except the one i want to send and i deleted all videos and the songs i dont listen to. i dont know what to do i mean text messages are no problem. does anybody know how much memory you need to have to send a picture and recieve a picture. or i mean how much space you need?

    I checked and Both the v3 and the v557 has only 5mb of shared memory which is not much when it goes to using it for outside pictures.



    You said that she cannot SEND a photo? and when she tries it says there is not enough memory? Is this correct???



    Have you checked to see the size of the photos she wants to receive?

    You have done the correct thing by removing any extra photos or videos to make room. There are two things that come to mind. This 1st one probably isn't it because it sounds like you know that what your doing. I am referring to making sure that your service with your cell company allows you to do multi-media and that you remembered to notify your provider that you have a different make & model of cell phone so that everything will work smoothly from your providers end. They may need to have you allow them to cycle your phone. (they would check your phone settings). The 2nd issue might be that your phone was not programmed correctly when it was unlocked for it to work with your multi-media..

Have you checked to see if the websessions information iis correct in order for your wifes phone to access the internet for Cingular. Go to your Main Menu and click select on the browser icon. Now scroll to find WEBSESSIONS and click SELECT. Depending on where the cell phone came from initially it will either have just a couple of choices or a lot of choices here. You need to locate either a Cingular3 or MEdia Net. These are usually what the setting name is called. You need to verify that these settings are correct for your AT&T service. I do not know if it is ok for me to put the info here. So I will tell you where you can find it.
You need to go to the at&t website for support/tutorials. It is: https://www.wireless.att.com/support/ This should take you to the correct arera. You need to make sure that your checking info for a V3 razr, go to PHONE/DEVICE SUPPORT and then click on TUTORIALS. This should take you to where you need. If the phone showing is not a v3 you need to change it to a v3 by clicking on the (not my phone/device? link located under the cell phone picture.). Under SELECT CATEGORY you need to go to TEXT MESSAGING-SMS, under the SELECT TUTORIAL click on SEND/RECEIVE TEXT MESSAGE. This will give you the information you need to hopefully fix your wifes phone so that she can use Multi-Media. Unfortunately when a phone is unlocked it won't always work for Multi-Media. For example: if the phone was initially a T-Mobile phone the settings for Multi-Media will not be set up for AT&T. They are different. I hope I have helped you.

Thanks for using FixYa. If you have Motorola phone tools installed in your system, then you can directly copy the messages from the phone to your Computer. And, if you are unable to see the messages through the SIM card reader then the messages would be in the phone and not SIM.

Got a motorola razr v3 on ebay. Not reading SIM card.


It may be caused that when you take out sim from old phome it has damaged, try for old one is it still working? if not then your sim is dead, also old phones made SIM-s to be bend and such SIM-s have difficlt electrical connection with new phones.
Also find if "this sim only" is activated in your phone.
It must give you signal, Insert sim card, or insert proper sim. If insert sim card warning card is damaged or have not enough good connection, if another, then this sim only is activated you first you must unlock it to work .

Hi , The settings for this function are stored on the phone via txt message from your service provider (virgin).When you use your sim in a different phone all you do is request settings to be resent and install from the options that come with the message , check the phones/sim stored numbers for virgin to txt "get settings" , or check online for the number to request

you will need to contact AT&T and have them talk you thru the setting up of you MMS...etc..or take the phone into one of the outlets and have them do it there for you.

Can't send text messages with pics


There is a program to unlock the Razor but is limit to some Razor model down load and try ......good luck and rate me..

MMS messaging on RZR phone


I will need to know your who your service provider is to help you. Yet, I can suggest that you go to your service providers website and go to the support section. Then look for MMS profiles or settings. Many of the providers will send the settings to fix the problem straight to your phone. This also means that you bought an unlocked phone by the way.

fool with the small copper antenna located next to the battery it worked for me, i had the same problem. Try moving the antenna around with a small screwdriver
