FInd and buy a deck level guage (makes it so much easier) photo.Adjust the front tire pressures to 14 psi. Set the rear tires to 10 psi. Make sure that the mower is on level ground, concrete driveway or garage floor. Set you deck height knob to 2.5 inches. Move the blades to where the blade tips are pointing to the side of the mower deck. Level the deck side to side by adjusting the lift link nuts,15mm or 17mm wrench. Get the side to side as level and possible and close to a number or mark on the guage. Move the blade tips to the front of the mower deck. Check the front to back and have a 1/8" to 1/4" lower on the front of the blades than the back. 18mm and 19mm wrenches for the front adjusting bracket.
you may have bad solder connections on some surface mount resistors inside of the deck, they are on the right side of the deck as it is facing you. there are about 7 or 8 resistors or so. not sure of the exact number right now as it varies from deck to deck.
There should be two threaded rods with a nut on them that goes from the frame to the deck. Check the height of each blade and which ever side is out of balance you can disconnect that sides rod (usually held onto the mount with a clip or cotter pin) and turn the rod to either raise or lower your deck until it is level.
The above was for leveling your deck.
If you just need to raise or lower the deck depends on if you have a lever on the right side with a push button on top just depress the push button and push forward to lower or pull back to raise.
It might have a round knob that you turn to raise or lower.
Same problem as yours with my deck. Bought the deck a month ago, turned car on in the morning face plate does not move down, music plays everything ok but can not access the cd or move the plate regadless button pushing. Have you tried the reset button? Hold it for 3 seconds ( ball point pen to press the button above power button) U will lose the presets but Oh weel. I am going to remove power completey from the unit later on today, and if it still has issues I am returning it for a replacement ( Bought it form Best Buy) L8R
