You can go to HP's website and download the software for your camera for free. Disconnect the camera from the pc, then go to www.hp.com and click on support to locate their download software/drivers page. Enter the name and model of your camera and choose the software listed for your operating system (Win Xp, Vista ect). If it gives you the option to "open" or "save" - choose open. When the software is finished downloading from the website, follow the prompts and install it on your pc. Reconnect the cable from the camera to the pc when the install tells you to.
Step 3: Restart your computer, and
while restarting plug your webcam back in. Then let your computer
install the new hardware automatically.
Under you programs you will not have a program to run your
webcam, and only have an option to uninstall it. The webcam will work
with programs that use a webcam, such as Yahoo Chat. Just have it
plugged into your computer and initiate the webcam in that program.
