Juniper,

The PIN and PUK are two security features that the service provider has given to you. The defaults are 12345 and 00000000 (eight zeros). However, given wrong more than three times locks the SIM and renders it useless. It has then to be replaced by the service provider for a small fee to retain the number. So, you mut call thehelpline of the service provider and ask for a new SIM as you have already given enough wrong PINs.

Hi i have a new phone and i tried to put a code in now its asking for a puk number

Hello, Your mobile phone's sim card has a four-digit PIN code enabled by default. If you enter the PIN code incorrectly three times, a lock will be put onto the SIM card, and you need a PUK code to unlock it. If you're being asked to enter a PUK, you will need to contact your network operator to get your sim card unlocked. This is for security reasons. Note that only your mobile phone network operator can legally provide you with a PUK code to unlock your SIM card. Thank you for using Fixya

Nokia N 70 - Error - 'Sim Card Rejected'

Hi,

IF you put PUK code many times depending on the model it wil lock the sim card. This is because to prevent unathorised person using your SIM card.

Default PIN code for nokia mobile is 0000
PUK code will be given by the service provider only.

Please call your service provider or go to service provider office, they will assist you in this issue. And they will have a security check like name,Phone number and other information to check weather the SIM card belongs to you only. Then they will assit you.

Thanx

I forgot my sim card phone lock code what do i do

Hi,
PUK code in PIN UNLOCKING CODE, which is required when you give PIN number wrongly for 3 times, This code is OPERATOR specific and not phone specific and you have to call you operator and get PUk if PIN is blocked...
if you provide PUK code wrongly for 7 time, you sim may become useless, then you have to buy new SIM
NOTE: You should ask your service provider..

I dont know what my PUK codes is

The PUK code is asked if you enter a wrong pin 3 times.

You need to call the phone company that released the SIM card, they can retrieve the puk code from a database for free.

In your case you need to contact your SIM card provider technical support to unlock the SIM.

The PIN and PUK are related to the SIM card, not to the phone.

If you replace the SIM card with a different one, then the phone will not ask for the PUK anymore.

PUK CODE

you have entered the pin code wrong 3 times now you are required to enter a puk code to reset the pin code.

The puk code is sim card spesific it comes with the sim card when you get it or you can get it by calling your phone service provider of the sim card to get the puk code.

if you have entered the puk code wrong too many times you will make the sim card useless and you will have to contact your phone service provider for a new sim card, it will probably cost.

Security code Nokia 3110 classic

SIM pin code:
This is a pin code that locks the sim card until you enter the correct code. This protects your account, even
if your sim is put into another handset. To reset it, you need the PUK code:
Pin Unlock Code (PUK)
If you miss key (or forget) your SIM pin code, and enter the wrong one 3-5 times in a row, the SIM will lock up, and you’ll need to enter the PUK unlock code to release it. You should ask your Network Service Provider for this code when you need it. Don’t try to guess it, because after a few wrong guesses, the SIM card will be permanently disabled.
Phone Security Code:
This locks the handset, as opposed to the sim card. You can also set some handsets to only accept a “new” sim if the phone security code is entered. To reset it, you need the Master code code:
Master Reset Code
Sometimes known as the Master Code, this allows you to unlock a handset if you have entered the Security Code wrongly too many times.
Which is the one that you want?
The default security code for Nokia is 12345

Need PUK2 code for CECT P168

Hi everyone

Every PUK code is unique so nobody can tell you your PUK number, but i will tell you what you can do!
1) If you still have your packet that your Sim Card came in, you should find your PUK number in there, if you don't have the packet, please read bellow.

2) You must get a phone that is on the same network as your phone and call the networks Customer Care and ask them for your PUK number, they will ask you for your phone number, then they will tell you your PUK number. Once you have done this, you will be able to reset your Pin number so you will be able to go into your phone again.

Please also remember to give this solution a FixYa! rating if it helps you.

Kind regards
