Hi,I was trying to get audio from my laptop to my tv with my HDMI cable I have picture but no sound from the TV need help please anyone thanks.........

Hello

Firstly u may want to check ur laptop is set to 'sound out' and then check ur tv has been set to receive audio streams from ur laptop.

Make sure your tv is set to accept sound from the HDMI plug and not from a analog connection. Also check your sound properties by rightclicking the speaker in the tasktray and making sure the HDMI audio is not muted.

Try going into Control panel and to Sound an ensure you have your playback device set to digital output.Left click sound icon & change the default sound to hdmi output

I use attached the pc on tv but i didi not here any sound please tell me sound pin cable attached the tv?

Hi sahazada pak,
As i know, TV set not support sound from PC input.
If you want here sound and still working with PC, you should use HDMI or DVI input from your PC out. HDMI has support image and sound in one cable. DVI only image without sound. if you use DVI , sound pc should connected to audio in.
Good luck.

I was told this would work from a laptop to tv but i cant find where or how to plug into laptop. what out and in should it be and what type of cord? do u have a manual or help list?

I don't really know what you mean but here's my answer:
laptop to TV can be done via VGA or HDMI, HDMI will give also send sound trough the cable to your TV.
both your TV and laptop must support one of these options or it will not work
here is what it looks like:
VGA : http://www.pc-helpforum.be/attachments/f184/2074d1243082457-live-voetbal-zien-via-laptop-naar-vga-kabel-mannelijk-mannelijk-.jpg HDMI : https://www.free-box.nl/images/HDMI_cable.jpg
most laptops should have VGA and most newer ones should have HDMI options
after connecting the cable you can hold windows + p for some basic options

ps: sorry for bad english

Can record Sky programmes but not view live.

You must connect up the TV to the SKY box, via Audio Visual cables too, in order to watch, recorded programs. You need to hook, up, Component, HDMI, or Composite, You select it by an EXTERNAL channel.
Connect the cable running from the wall into the "In" port on the Sky Box HD receiver. This cable brings in the signal to your receiver. Make sure the cable is securely fastened to the receiver, otherwise you might experience image and audio issues.
Attach an HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the Sky Box HDTV receiver. The HDMI is a single cable that provides both HD audio and video signals.
Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into an available HDMI port on the HDTV.
Power on the HDTV and the Sky Box HDTV receiver. Press the "HDMI" button on the TV's remote control. This will display the cable contents of the HD receiver onto the television.

Will a hdmi cable work for sound and video to view whats on my laptop on my tv i have a dell m1530 and my tv is a sony vizio

As long as you ave a true hdmi output on your computer it will work for sound and video. If you are adapting to the hdmi from dvi or anything other than hdmi it will not broadcast sound. It will however give you an hd picture.

I have a hdmi input and i dont hear sounds

HDMI definitely carries sound and video. That is what makes it so useful. One cable does it all. If you have HDMI input on your TV and you are trying to play video and sound through your laptop, you have to hook up the cable, select HDMI or digital sound from your computer sound settings and then re-start your computer (while attached to the TV0. Good luck.

No sound on tv when laptop connected via hdmi

if you are running windows xp or linus i may not be able to help altought the problem might be solved in almoust the same way. For windows vista right click on the volume icon in the system tray icons and choose playback devices select HDMI output ( for 5920G is "Realtek HDMI Output" ) then press the "Set Default" button. The other way around is to go in the Control Pannel in the "Hardware and sound" cthegory and select sount than seth the default output to Realtek HDMI Output in the "Control Pannel Home" view, or in Classic view click/doubble click on "Sound" icon ( a speaker ) and do the same. In windows XP there is a similar approach. In linux go to System ->> Administration ->> Soundcard Detection and you should find a setting equivalent to the one in Windows

LG 42PX4DV - HDMI Audio / PC Audio IN problem

I found the fix. Had the same problem.
I right clicked on the sound speaker icon in the bottom right of Windows 7.
Chose Playback Devices.
Once this window opens, then make sure you are on the Playback tab.
Scroll down until you see the HDMI Device. (Mine was hidden at the bottom of the list.)
Then choose "set as default".
The sound will begin playing on the TV with only the HDMI connected......no need for an extra audio cable.
