Are there some instructions on how did you install them?..it should just be the reverse. in some units, they have small screws at the sides that secures the unit from its shell.

start with the face cover, remove it if you can. some units have a scew at the middle of the face cover before you pull out the filter. if you were able to pull the face cover off, then try to pull the unit and the shell should be left behind still attached to the wall. if this is not the case, then you should pull the whole unit including the shell or casing as others called them.
look for some securing screws or bolts that hold the housing. then if you were able to bring down the whole unit, start removing all the screws all around the unit in order to remove the housing and you can see the dirt on the drainage .

i hope i was able to solve you problem..

pls rate me

tnx for using fixya.

My air conditioner's bucket is overflowing with water and leaking all through the ceiling onto our floor, ruining the paint on the walls. Any solutions?

I assume you have a unit in the attic as described condensate leaking from ceiling and down the walls etc.
What is not normal is a bucket to contain the condensate, there should be 2 lines a primary from the evap coil and a secondary preferably from a secondary drain pan resting underneath your unit. A bucket will never work in this capacity.

This year had a problem with my upstairs a/c leaking? i put the temp up and cleaned the filters? seems to have stopped why is this happening

Condensate drain line is clogged up.These are not easy to get to and require removing the inside unit from the wall. Best to have a professional do this. They may have to pull the refrigerant out of the system and totally remove the inside unit. This is a big job. Good luck.

Thru the wall air conditioner is leaking droplets of water from between the frame and the body

Your unit should be pulled from the wall and cleaned. Also Check with a level that through the wall sleeve that the unit sits in has a slight lean towards the outside and not inside.

Where are the drain ports on a Fedders A3XO5F2E-A My unit is leaking water on the floor even though it is tilted down. ...

Hi,
The drain holes are in the back corners of the pan...and they will plug with dirt...to get to them you will need to slide the unit out of the chassis if it is that type or pull the whole unit out so you can take the cover off and open the holes...
Then you will be back in business again..

Wall a/c is leaking water down log wall and puddling on floor.

When you sealed the holes outside, you trapped the water inside. The unit is designed to let the water run to the bottom of the pan and then go out the holes outside. Try unplugging one of them and see if that fixes the problem. Hope this helps.

Punctured an air-conditioner Freon line

when the freon is released from the unit, you have to repair the leak, pull a vacumm to rid any moisture in system then refill with freon,if you dont have the equipment,it would be cheaper to just replace the unit
