Trying to fix a simple fix (i'm sure) to a heating problem on my dryer. i checked the heating element and it was good, no breaks in it. i took the heater box with the thermal cut off and the high limit thermostat connected to it to a local appliance parts store. they checked it out and told me it was good. said that maybe i'm not getting enough voltage to my unit. i checked it and it was good. the guys at the store told me to get a professional to look at it and told me to pick a paticular one. i felt as though they wanted me to take my buisness to him and so here i am trying to fix it myself out of principal. i figure a heating problem would be a common and simple fix so i am asking for advice from the experts. i also checked the heater switch and it was good. next will be the centerfugal switch followed by the very expensive (i'm sure) the control unit. i spent about 30 min looking for the centerfugal switch with no luck. that is what brought me to this site. thanks for the help.
Centrifugal switch is mounted to motor..maybe but doubtful..if that has mechanical timer turn to heat cycle remove large red or black wire ckd between the 2 connectors on timer for continuity if has a control bd (even heat control) possible bad heat relay the one with the big red wires ..swapping the motor relay and heat relay would be a simple ck

first of all i should mention that my complete model number is 110.64992301. ok, after further troubleshooting, i checked my fabric care/ temperature switch. I am supposed to have continuity in specific positions. in the 12 o'clock position (medium heat) i am supposed to have continuity with contact 2&4 which i'm not. in the 2 o'clock position (medium high heat) i'm supposed to have continuity with contact 2&4 (which i am) and contact 1&4 (which i'm not). i took the part to my local appliance store to see if the new swich would do the same but they didn't have it in stock. if the experts tell me that this is why i'm not getting heat in my dryer, then i will purchase it on line. it's pricey ($54) so that's why i'm hesitant to purchase it. again, thanks for any help given.
