You should be able to see if the wire inside the fuse is blown the fuse is usually right next to the power cord. What is the model number of your set?

Sure, two,two is short protection: One of the two pico fuses that protects the convergence circuit is blown----you will need to replace both chips (Need a exact model number to tell which) and the pico fuse that is blown.

Hitachi lcd led tv won't turn on.

Without more info or seeing the set, the most likely problems are :- the inverter that powers the backlight has failed or the backlight itself has failed The first is the cheapest and easiest to repair the latter could mean the screen needs to be replaced. You don't say if you are getting sound though. if you aren't it may just be that the internal fuse has blown. I hope this points you in the right direction.

Pioneer 65" TV Model # SD-643HD5 won't power up.

I would suggest replacing the board itself, chances are what caused those fuses to blow is still faulty. did you check those fuses again after you powered it back up?

Had a power surge into the house- the tv was not on a surge protector and i am wondering if the tv is blown out- or is there a fuse possibly that blows at a power surge?

hello kath... if the tv won't come on now the power surge fried internal fuse and possibly more. The least expensive way to get this repair is to physically take the tv to the repair shop. If they have to make house calls, the cost goes up significantly. Joe

The tv won`t turn on. its it a fuse

Do you mean is it a fuse? Because if the fuse is blown that means more than likely there is something else wrong with it...probably in your power supply. What I recommend is to plug it in and listen for power (high pitched buzz), if you cant hear that...it could be anywhere from a diode to the HOT. If you have an om meter, I suggest checking thos first. What happened before it went out? and are there any LEDs that turn on in the front?

I had a power outage and now the tv will not power on. This is for a 55" Mitsubishi WS-55511. no green blinking lights.

Hi,

You may have a blown fuse. Unplug the TV and remove the back. Look for a small fuse near where the power cord goes in.
If it is blown that may be the problem.
Use a magnifying glass to read the AMP rating.
replace the fuse and plug it in. If the fuse blows again you need expert repair services.

If the fuse doesn't blow then try to turn it on.
If it turns on then check the operation of the TV.

If the fuse blows again or the TV won't work correctly then you need expert repair service to fix your TV.

You may be able to have your household insurance pay if it is damaged by lightening or a power surge.
