Volume is all the up but the sound is very low..

Hi, This sounds like a driver issue. The easiest way to fix this is go to dell.com. Once the go to support or drivers and downloads. You will be asked to type in your service tag. This will take you to the drivers used on laptop. If you dont have the tag number you can enter the laptop name, model etc and it will take you to the drivers page.
Find the driver under "AUDIO" download it, open it, click on setup or install then follow the instructions. This should take care of the volume issue.

Sound problem

what problem is it?is it no sound?
  • if no sound. Have you installed the driver for the sound?
  • check the device manager if the sound driver is installed properly.
  • Right Click "My Computer" and on the menu choose "Manage"
  • Then on the listed items on the right click "Device Manager"
  • Now the left window will show the devices installed in your computer.
  • Look for " Sound,Video and Game Controllers " and click the " + " sign.
  • Be sure that all the device had been installed properly..if you see a yellow mark with exclamation point it means the device has a problem.
  • You need reinstall the driver using the cd driver of the computer..if you dont have the cd you will need to download the driver.
  • If you know the name of the software for your sound for example (Realtek AC'97) you can search the google for that driver..
  • But if you dont know the right software you can download this software: EVEREST Ultimate Edition - http://www.mediafire.com/?mmmymemydmj
  • Extract That using winrar and Install it.
  • after installing run the program and enter the product key provided in the downloaded file.
  • now on the program Click " Multimedia " and and Click "HD Audio"
  • you will the product name of the Audio Device like in this photo, Mine is Realtek ALC883 heifentrixx.jpg
  • Now when you know the Name of your device...You can download it in Google..

No sound on my PC

hi..
First check to see if any external speakers work with it, then check the device manager to see if there is any conflict between the laptop and the internal speakers, if there is conflict try and resolve it, the check the speaker drivers, ,then adjust the sound levels and test the speakers, If they still dont work, take the laptop in for service...

SOUND DRIVER NOT WORKING PROPERLY

the simplest solution is to uninstall and re-install the audio driver, but to find the installation information you would either have to know the type of motherboard ( if it is integrated) or the type of card ( if it is a separate sound card)

What is your motherboard type and model? If you purchased your computer a brand new unit,a CD installerforit device drivers shouldcome with it. If you have that Device driver installer CD,try installing from the CD device installer that came with your new PC.
