Several things could be happening, 1) the rear end caps that hold the roller can be broken not keeping in adjustment the roller. 2) the walking belt bad. 3) roller back or front worn(less likely). also make sure if your belt(the new one if you need it) uses lubrication or not.

good luck to you.

My proform treadmill belt is still slipping after i tighten the belt

If the treadmill belt continues to slip even after you have adjusted the rear roller bolts, then it is time to replace the running belt. These belts do stretch over time and must be replaced when they stretch to the point that it can no longer be tightened enough to not slip.

I have a Proform 850 and the belt keeps slipping off. Almost immediately after starting to excersise on it. Any ideas on what is wrong with it.

what do you mean off like completly off or to one side. you need to balance the tension on the w/belt otherwize the blet will creep to the left or right. if the belt goes to the right tighten the right and loosen the left, when the belt get to where you want it. tighten the side you made the belt move to this will keep it centered

Belt on treadmill is moving towards the right and bunching up

you need to adjust the travel of belt. to do this you need a allen wrench that came with it. if you have it run treadmill at slow speed,go to the rear right at the right end cap there is a hole, use the allen wrench and unscrew slowly while watching the belt until returns to the middle. if it slips when walking go back to rear and adjust by screwing in one turn on each side until belt wont slip.

How do i tighten the belt on this product ?? it seems to be loose and slipping.... my treadmill is a proform 545 S but I cant find that as an option to choose

Hello,

The belt is adjusted at the rear of the treadmill, On both rear corners there are plastic covers with holes in them. You should have a allen wrench that came with the machine. You turn the screw clockwise to tighten, it should feel snug. Next start the treadmill and watch the belt, it will go to one side or the other. To center the belt, you need to tighten the side that the belt is CLOSEST to. Turn it only half a turn at a time until watching it moving, it stays in the center.

You should not have to do this often, The manual says about 1.5 inches of deflection t the edges of the belt. Tight is good.

Hope this helps

Treadmill is slippng badly

There should be an allen head bolt on each side at the rear of the treadmill going throughthe rear cover into the tail [rear] roller. Turn each one 1/4 turn at a time equally untill slipping is stopped. If belt tracks more to one side tighten slightly more on that side.

Proform Crosswalk Dual Motion Cross Trainer Treadmill. motor works great. Rubber on right side under the moving belt has come off so belt slips when in use

I think you are talking about the front roller. It has a rubber sleeve that helps to grip the walking belt. Sometimes you can tighten this enough to keep it from slipping but you run the risk of overtightening and damaging both rollers. We recomend replacing that roller.
