I have a Casablanca "trident"

Call Casablanca @ 1-800-715-0393. It could be a bad light kit ( which can be replaced) or bad receiver.

Is it powered from the same breaker as the fan, check the breaker, if so check the connections. Most likely if its a pull chain switch the switch is bad,,,,, it's common..

Try pushing up on the glass as you turn it. Also, I've sprayed WD-40 between glass and fan and that seemed to help.

How old are the batteries in the remote? Try replacing the batteries in the remote and see if that does the trick.

If this fan has a pullchain that also controls the fan speed, and you have a remote, the pullchain has to be set for the highest speed. If it is set at medium or low, it will mess with the remote operation. Note: usually high speed is the first pull after the "off" position.

If you have the intelitouch system, It's probably the circuit board in the fan. Casablanca has great motors but touchy boards. I ordered mine from www.fanmanlighting.com and installed it myself, it wasn't too difficult. Hope this helps
