Nanosh,
The hard setting and all will not undo the security password. There is only one way to get rid of the password and that is to get the firmware reinstalled. Nokia permits users to reinstall the firmware. So, do the following after fully charging the phone's battery:
1. Install the Nokia PC Suite on your computer.
2. Connect the phone to the computer through the USB cable (do not connect using Bluetooth).
3. Fire up PC Suite.
4. Select the option of Updating the firmware.
Thephone will be as good as new after the reinstallation is complete.
Soft reset/reformat - Type *#7370# and the phone's lock code (Nokia default lock code is 12345). Warning!Soft reset wipes the C drive/phone memory!
Hard reset - Switch the phone off. Press and hold three keys together, the green key, the * key and the number '3'. While you are holding these keys, switch the phone on. Don't release these three keys before you see the NOKIA logo.
Warning! Hard reset wipes the C (phone memory) drive.
