What was the reason you shifted into 4 lo ? Alot of times the electrical connections under truck get wet or moisture in the plugs which causes electrical malfunctions which stop the operations of transfercase shifts. max speed is 25 in the 4 lo position. You didn't happen to try to do 60 did you?

I have a 1992 Ford Bronco and it began to hesitate tonight while driving. I put the gear in low and now I dont know how to get the truck back into the correct gear. Im not familiar with the floor gears

look at the driver side visor the shift pattern is printed there. it should be also on the shift lever itself . I think 2 wheel high is all the way forward then back 1 is neutral back 1 more is 4w low and all the way back is 4w high

Won't stay in 2w or 4w high

4wd systems on these are abominable. most likely module and/or encoder problem.

4WD SWITCH DOES NOT DESELECT 4WD LOW

When you use 4w low you have to put the truck in neutral to shift into and out of low mode. If it still gives problems move the truck back and forth and see if you can unbind the gears and try again.
