Hi I have A Medianpc the system model is a AWRDACPI X86-Based P.C. Do I have to update my bios to install windows 7.If so please could you advise me.

Hey, no you dont need to update BIOS to install Windows 7 but i would recommend doing it anyway. Its always good practice to have latest version of drivers and firmware as they usually fix bugs in existing in older versions as well improve performance.

As for your CDs i would look at the Optical drive you have and perhaps use another computer to copy the Windows 7 to bootable USB drive and use that to install Windows 7.

Hope this helps.

Tried to update win 7 to win 8 but when loaded receive message OXOOOOOO5D nowcan,t start computer

windows 8 is far better than windows 7

To install Windows 8 on your PC, the processor (CPU) must support the following features: Physical Address Extension (PAE), NX, and SSE2. Most CPUs have support for these features, so if you receive this error, it is likely because the NX feature is not enabled on your system. To resolve this error, follow manufacturer guidelines to enable NX ("No eXecute bit"), or the equivalent XD ("eXecute Disabled"), feature within the BIOS settings. This feature is typically found in the Advanced or Security tabs within the BIOS settings, and can be referred to by a variety of names, including but not limited to: • No Execute Memory Protect • Execute Disabled Memory Protection • EDB (Execute Disabled Bit) • EVP (Enhanced Virus Protection) If the BIOS setting for the NX (XD, EDB, or EVP) support option is not available on your system, you may need to contact the manufacturer to update the BIOS. Note that some very old processors may not contain these features and will be incompatible with Windows 8 Release Candidate. A whitepaper has been published with further details about the PAE/NX/SSE2 requirement for Windows 8, error cases and scenarios that customers encounter when machines fail to meet the requirement, and what to do to install Windows 8 on their PC's. You can download the whitepaper at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/hh975398.aspx

If you're using Windows 7, check if it's running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system. On your computer, go to Start menu > right-click on Computer > Properties. Take note of the System Type.

Can't get hp officejet j4680 all-in-one printer to my acer aspire 7736z-4088 windows 7. It's not connecting

This is because you need the Windows 7 driver for your HP OfficeJet j4680.

A Driver is a small piece of software that allows the Operating System (Win7) to 'communicate' with a device.
(HP OfficeJet j4680)

OfficeJet turned off, and unplugged from power. Disconnect the USB cable FROM the computer.

You DO NOT want the printer plugged into the computer before you have installed the software.
With it turned off, and unplugged from power, it will reset.

AFTER the software is installed, and the printer is plugged back into the computer, then plugged back into power, Windows 7 fully loaded, and THEN turned on, Windows will recognize it.

This is HP Support, and the Software and Driver Downloads page,

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=3692888&

On this page you will see the heading >
Select your operating system, then click 'Next':

Click on the blue Down Arrow, to the right of the box with Select in it.

In the drop down list click on the Operating System you are using.

I don't know if you are using Windows 7 32-bit, or Windows 7 64-bit.

[The Drivers you are going to download, may be the same for Windows 32-bit, or 64-bit.
64 Bit is backwards compatible with 32-bit.
However this is Not in all cases.
It's better that you use the drivers for THE particular Windows 7 that you have, and avoid any problems}

I'm going to use Windows 7 32-bit for an example.
Click on Next.

In the list click on the + sign to the left of >
Driver (2)

In the Drivers list I suggest you choose >
HP OfficeJet Full Feature Software and Driver

At the bottom of the file you will see the heading underlined > More info
Click on More info.

Copy what is stated, or write it out on a piece of paper.
You may find you need this info.

In the blue rectangle that has Download, in white, click on it.

A small window will come up.
Opening OJJ4600_Full_13.exe

Click on Save File.

Another small window will come up on the left.
Write down what is in the top of the window.
This is where the file will download to.

Go to where the file has downloaded to (File name > OJJ4600_Full_13.exe), and Double-click on the file name.
Follow the easy instructions of the Installation Wizard.

(Essentially click on Next, Next, and Finish)

Now close all windows, and go back to your desktop screen.

Plug the printer into the computer with the USB cable.
Plug the printer into power.
Windows fully loaded turn the printer on.

Nikon NX is not working with Windows 7 64bit.

Capture NX is not supported on Windows7. You'll have to upgrade to the current version of Capture NX2. If you're already using an older version of NX2, the same applies.
