I've done that. (I am trying to connect to my Wii) I thought I had that in my problem description, but I don't see it. It just keeps telling me that it can't find the connection. I even tried changing the channel or whatever from 6 to 1 or 11.

Make sure that you are using the proper encryption type for the connection. Your router most likely is capable of handling WEP, which is what your adapter is more than likely set to use. Log onto your Linksys router by inputting the IP address into the address bar and then check the wireless security tab on the router interface
If you don't know the ip address, open a command prompt window and type ipconfig at the flashing cursor. the default gateway would be the address of the router.

How do i set up a wifi conection from my wii to my modem please

Nintendo's wireless connection will only support WEP security. So before connecting it wirelessly, check your wireless router/wireless access point and make sure that IF it has a wireless security configured on it, it's on WEP. So the wireless security should either be Disabled or at WEP. You can check these options on the router's Web UI. If you have a Linksys router, I could help you with it.

follow these steps:

1. Setup Screen > tap "Nintendo Wi-Fi Settings".
2. Select a "Connection slot".
3. Tap "Search for an Access Point. (This will open a list of wireless networks detected.)
4. Select your network (or any network you want to connect to) and connect to it. It will ask your for the network key or WEP key if you have it setup on the router.

My Wii was connected to netflix through my internet before and now keep getting error msg. Called netflix and it shows Wii is activated on their system but is not now connecting to my wireless router...

1. Attempt to relink your Wii to your router from the wireless menu in the Wii.
2. If (1) above does not work, you can reset your router to factory settings then attempt connection again. BEFORE doing this, hook your Wii up to the router with an Ethernet cable to make sure you have a connection and not a problem with your wii.

3. If you decide to do a hard reset, go to the Cisco/Linksys website for complete reset instructions.

I can't get the Internet connection to work and what is an ssid it said I had to enter it so I entered my wifi code but it didn't work

your SSID is the name of your wireless network. You can find it under your router settings. Usually if you have a linksys router its called linksys. So you need to enter both your SSID first and then your wireless password after that.

Where do i put hinternet connection cord at?

1. Go to Best Buy. Get a Linksys wireless router. Hook up your internet to the slot in the back that says INTERNET. Then attach an internet wire into slot 1. Plug the other end into your computer. Repeat with any other computers. Put the CD in any computer hooked up with the Linksys. Set it so wireless connections are allowed and set a password. Use the internet channel, wait until your Linksys pops up, and enter you password. You're good to go.

Note: I was talking about this Linksys: http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/supp...

2. Get a $40 Wi-Fi adapter and hook it up to your computer (assuming it has internet). After setup, You will have Wi-Fi, but it has a tiny range. I recommend the router. The router has a MUCH larger range and costs $20-$120 depending on how fast and how large of a range you want. Any router will work as long as it's wireless.

The DNS error on my PS3 from LINKSYS

your wireless network should be configured to NOT broadcast the SID and a WEP key. Then after entering the address of the router manually in the network setup on the PS3, you will able to obtain an ip address from the router

Cant connect to wireless network on my ps3

Hello,
First off you have a wireless router hooked up to your ISP correct.
anually set a static IP for your wireless connection (When going through the network setup in Network Settings --> Internet Connection Settings (wireless), choose Custom instead of Easy when the page asking for either appears).
Set the IP address to something outside your DHCP range. e.g. 192.168.0.5 (for dlink router) or 192.168.1.5 (Linksys router)Default gateway should be the IP of your router. For dlink, this should be 192.168.0.1 and Linksys should be 192.168.1.1DNS Server can be the same as your default gateway, mentioned above.
Subnet Mask should be 255.255.255.0.If you're using some sort of encryption (WEP, WAP, etc), set it in there as well when it asks to do so.
And that should get you going. I actually haven't done this on the ps3, but its my info from experience with regular pc to pc networking.
Also If you haven't tried this already, change the wireless channel from 6, to 1 or 11 in your router and wireless consoles.
If all else fails, try this http://www.clanbluntforce.com/forum/index.php?topic=864.0

go on the linksys site and then click on the router you have. They all have default IP addresses. Maybe you are typing in the wrong IP address? Also, some of your settings may be wrong so check some XBOX router FAQ's online for other help. I also have a linksys router, but it works fine on my XBOX. You might want to try directly hooking up your XBOX to your modem, maybe it's not detecting the router if you have wireless?

Xbox 360 live on wireless router

In theory you should be able to "share" your internet connection. I use a Linksys WRT54GS wireless router and I have a Linksys Game adapter on my son's 360. He has not complained about lag or slow server times unless other intensive bandwidth is being used.

Cant connect to xbox live through router

Hey stchivo, not entirely sure what's happening.  It might help to know what type of router you have.  I know the new linksys routers have a new security feature by the name of SES or something of the sort.  Make sure that is disabled and that DHCP is enabled.  Also make sure a firewall on the router isn't blocking it.  It might help to have screenshots of your router settings to better evaluate what's happening.
