I turn on my Pioneer Blue Ray XV-BD707 and there appears to be no power to unit.

Can you try this on a different power outlet?
Does the power cord look undamaged?
It could be the fuse either inside the unit in the power supply (usually a glass one with silver ends) or if you are in the UK the fuse in the plug.

No sound from front center and rear speakers on my xv-dv55

Hi
1st check your cables are inserted into the subwofer (which is the powersource)
however it sounds as though you have switched the player to mono mode to reset it try this
2. On your remote press the system button with the green ring around it 3. Then press the dts button (number 7) keep pressing it until the auto option appears (watch the little black display screen)
hope fully that should fix it
I am assuming that you no longer have the manual other wise you would have checked in there? But if you do and this does not work try read the first few pages on setting up the sound for your system.

Hi!My name is Dan,I am from Romania.I have a dvd player Pioneer XV DV55 and I dont have power supply. Can I make my self one?

Yes no worries, you simply need to get the Voltage, Current & Polarity right, this should be marked somewhere usually though, it is Plus +, to Center Pin, with Negative -, on the outer. Mostly 9 - 12 VDC. The Current MUST be over an Amp. A switched Mode PSU would be best, transformer supplies my not provide "Clean" enough DC. Check it out carefully you should have no worries.

How to multi region my Pioneer XV-DV55

Most have "hack codes" but yours is in a select group of a few that simply cant be done with a couple pushes of a button.

As far as I am aware the only way to get thesemachines to play Region 1 discs is to have them chipped. A variety of solutionsare available, and it needn't be expensive (typically £30 to £70) but youshould be aware that any internal modifications to your players wouldinvalidate the warranty. Have a look at the following web sites for moreinformation:http://www.techtronics.com/uk/shop/50-000-dvd.html
http://www.maxking.co.uk/dvdmod.htm
http://www.dvdchips.co.uk/

I know you were looking for a free solution you could do in a matter of seconds and sorry it didnt work out that way. Regardless, I hope I pointed you in the right direction and feel free to ask if you have any more question.

Happy Holidays,
TJ
