Canon ir3300 pc to print in xerox print processing but not pr

If you are experiencing issues with your Canon IR3300 printer when trying to print in Xerox print processing mode, but it's working fine in regular print mode, there could be a few possible causes. Here are a few things you can check:
  1. Check the printer driver: Make sure that the correct printer driver is installed and that it is compatible with the Xerox print processing software. If the driver is not compatible, the printer may not function properly in Xerox print processing mode.
  2. Check the network connection: Make sure that the printer is properly connected to the network and that it can communicate with the Xerox print processing software.
  3. Check the print settings: Make sure that the print settings are correctly configured for Xerox print processing mode. This includes the resolution, color mode, paper size, etc.
  4. Check the Xerox software: Make sure that the Xerox software is compatible with your computer's operating system and that it is properly installed and configured.
  5. Check the firmware: check if your printer's firmware is up to date.
  6. Check the paper size and tray: Make sure that the paper size and tray are correctly configured for Xerox print processing mode.

WHEN TRAY EMPTY PRINTS OUT OF OTHER TRAY

The user cannot select a paper tray for a print job from within an application. It is also not possible to configure a default paper tray in the Document Defaults, Printing Preferences, Printing Defaults driver options.
This problem may be experienced with an HP PCL5e, PCL5c, or PCL6 LaserJet printer driver on any of the following Operating Systems:
  • Windows NT 4.0
  • Windows 2000
  • Windows XP/.NET

Typical symptoms of this issues include:
  • Paper tray selection grayed out.
  • Cannot select paper tray, only size and type.
  • Not possible to select tray.

SOLUTION: Perform the following steps to clear the NT Forms configuration.
  1. Go to the Printers folder by clicking Start , Settings , and Printers .
  2. Right-click the printer and go to Properties .
  3. Go to the NT Forms tab.
  4. Click the Clear All button.
  5. To save and exit, click the OK button.

SUMMARY: This is expected printer driver behavior. The NT Forms feature allows a user or system administrator to configure a so-called "form-to-tray assignment" for the printer. When this feature is enabled it is not possible to select a specific paper tray for a print job, or to set it as default, because the system is aware of the specific paper size and type loaded in the various printer trays, which makes the source selection redundant. Some applications or environments may require a "form-to-tray assignment" in order to take advantage of certain features. For instance, in an Active Directory environment, this feature has to be enabled for the operating system to be able to report the available paper sizes in the printer to the Active Directory

My brother-in-law set up my HP wireless printer, but now it says it is offline and wont print unless I hook up the cord. How do I get online again?

Hi,

Welcome to fixya. There are couple of things that you have to consider for the printer to be online again, first is try to press the resume button on the printer. If that doesnt work, you can also try resetting the printer by unplugging the power cord for a minute or so,Also, make sure the print queue is empty by deleting all jobs in the queue.Another thing is that there are printer that has the reset button that you must press after you add paper to let it know that it needs to look at the paper tray and see that there is now paper in it.

Hope this helps.:)

HP 9050 MFP keeps asking for tray 1. Configuration is set to use tray 4 first, but everytime a print job is sent to the printer, it requests load paper in tray 1. How do I get this problem fixed?

You need to check the paper types you have assigned and the paper types that users are requesting. Print out a configuration page and make sure that Tray 4 shows as plain paper. If it does not then check all the stops. The 2000 sheet tray 4 units are noted for having the stops not engage and this causes the printer to think that tray 4 is custom media. You can also go into diagnostics and print a paper path test for each tray to ensure that all the trays are working.

49.2

Thank you for contacting FixYa with your inquiry.
The HP4700 Printer The HP 4700 is a family of color LaserJet printers intended for use by work groups and small offices. The printer itself differs little from model to model with accessories including wireless printing options and various paper tray configurations.
Error Code 'Service Error 49.2' According to the user manual, 49.X error codes mean, "a critical firmware error has occurred." Firmware is Software that ties to specific hardware components. While occasionally this means hardwired programming, installed drivers often feed programming and instructions to modern devices.
Correcting the Error Firmware errors can often be corrected by turning the device off and on again. If this fails to correct the issue, reinstalling the driver software may correct the problem. If the problem persists, HP technical support should be contacted.
Hope this helps helps. Please keep us updated and remember to rate this answer.

How do I tell the printer to take from the top tray?

Page 63 of your HP LaserJet 4600dn printer manual:

Controlling print jobs: (condensed version) MS Windows

Three settings affect how the printer driver tries to pull paper when you send a print job. The "Source," "Type," and "Size" settings appear in the Page Setup, Print, or Print Properties dialog boxes in most software programs.

Your question indicates that you wish to configure your printer to take from the top tray. That is a "Source" setting. So in the print Setup or Print Properties dialog box, change the "Source" to Tray 1.

Printing by Source means you choose a specific tray
from which you want the printer to pull paper. The printer tries to print from this tray, no matter what type or size is loaded in it. If you choose a tray that is configured from the embedded Web server for a type or size that does not match your print job, the
printer does not print automatically. Instead, it waits for you to load the tray you chose with the type or size of print media for your print job. If you load the tray, the printer begins printing. If you press the printer tries to print from another tray that has the correct type or size.

Kindly vote for my solution if this info was helpful.

Hp laserjet must manually push button to print

Hi,

Please print a configuration page from the control panel of the printer
- Menu > Information menu > print configuration.
- Check for paper handling details.
Following setting should reflect.
Tray 1: Any size / Any Type
Tray 2: A4 size / Plain Type

If the above settings are not reflecting in the configuration page, please change accordingly by browsing on the control panel of the printer to:
Paper Handling Menu >
Tray 1 Size: Any
Tray 1 Type: Any
Tray 2 Size: A4
Tray 2 Type: Plain

Let me know if that helps to solve the issue.

Regards,
Nikhil.

I need to change the IP address on my hp color laser jet 2840 coud you help me with that

Hi,
Most HP printers can be reset to factory defaults (or cold-reset ) by turning the printer off and holding down the Online or Go button while turning the printer back on. The printer control panel display should read "Cold Reset" or "Restoring Factory Settings" or something like these lines. This will remove any IP address that the printer had previously.
When you plug it in, your router should have assigned an ip address automatically. Go into your router and look at the attached devices and it will show you what ip address has been assigned to each device on your network.

Use Web Interface or Manually Assign an IP address NOTE: Network HP Printers allow you to manage them via Internet Explorer. You can enter the IP address that the printer currently has and access its configuration settings. This assumes that the web interface hasn't been locked.
NOTE: We recommend that you install the latest version of Sun's Java software before trying these steps. See this How To: How to Update Sun's Java 2 Runtime Environment Plug-in.
  1. Print the Configuration page if needed. You will be entering the "current" IP Address.
  2. Open Internet Explorer. Delete EVERYTHING from the Address line.
  3. Enter the IP Address in the Address line and press Enter.
  4. You should then connect to the printer. If this fail, go to the next section to assign the IP address manually.

NOTE: There are 2 basics versions of the web interface. Type 1 is on newer printers. Type 2 is on older models

  5. Type 1: Click the Networking tab.
Type 2: Click the Administration button. Click the Configuration tab.

  6. Edit the IP address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway as needed.
  7. Do not change any other fields.
  8. Scroll to the bottom and click Apply. Click OK.
  9. Close Internet Explorer.
  10. Restart the Printer. Print the Configuration page to see if number was set.
NOTE: If the above steps do not allow you to assign the IP address via the Wizard, you will need to do it through at the printer itself.
  1. Go to this HP Support Page.

Configuring TCP/IP through the Front Control Panel

  2. Click the link to your printer model. Highlight these steps.
  3. From the File menu choose Print. In the Page Range section, click Selection. Click Print.

Note: For the complete printer user guide, go to the HP Printers Support & Troubleshooting page. Locate your specific printer type and model. On its home page, under self-help resources, click the manuals link. Download the printer's User Guide (not the Getting Started Guide). Look for steps to manually configure TCP/IP parameters from the printer control panel.

  4. Follow the steps from the printout to assign the desired IP Address to the printer.

IP address will be entered at the IP BYTE prompt
Subnet mask is entered at SM BYTE prompt
Gateway address is entered at GW BYTE prompt

Note: The syslog server IP address (LG BYTE 1=) and timeout (TIMEOUT=) do not need configured.

  5. Once the IP Address is entered, restart the Printer. Print the Configuration page to see if number was set.

Hope this helps

Dell 3000cn laser printer

This is usually related to the way the tray or trays are configured on the printer or the way the program from which your printing from is configured. If you are using ms office, as an example, if the instructions to the printer from the software (ms office) say to print this document to the Multi Purpose Feeder tray (MPF) using plain paper and there is no plain paper in the MPF, you will get this error. Conversersly, if the printer's MPF is configured to print only legal size paper, and the software you are using is sending a print job to the printer telling it to use letter in the MPF, you will get this error. Basically, the printer settings and the settings from the software must match in order for this error to not occur. The settings for the printer can be changed usinig the operators panel of the printer. Directions for this should be available in the users manual or from support.dell.com. The setings for the software shold be in the print properties/preferences of the software being used.
