What is the meaning of X in the word DOCX?

The X stands for XML (Extensible Markup Language), which is the programming language behind the scenes in Office 2007 programs.
Previous versions of Word were based on binary data. Binary data is, by nature, prone to corruption, and "bloated."
By changing the background code, Microsoft was able to create new tools and features in Word 2007 that would not have been possible otherwise.

How can I open a word 2003 doc or ppt in word 2007

Office 2007 will open 2003 word documents. Use open , to the bottom right pick 97-2003 docs, it will show only theses documents. Click open and the document will open. Your Instructor might have Microsoft Works if Document does not ope. The i nstructor should download compatibility software from Microsoft for Office 2007 and load. Then He could use save as a 2007 document.
Hope this helps?

What is the 25 character product key for MICROSOFT OFFICE WORD 07

Hey Carlos, we don't hand out product keys to Microsoft products here.
There are plenty of free alternatives to Microsoft Word out there that will read and write word docs, so there's no reason for you to actually need Billys product.

Start with openoffice.org or google docs even.

I hope that helps.

Hi,guy
Don't worry,I know a program can unlock the protected word ,that is : Word Password Recovery 5.0, a simple tool for the easiest solution to Word password recovery. It recovers/removes the "Password to Open" and "Password to Edit" for you to view and edit the document freely.
By the way, there is a tool there called Password Recovery Bundle which including not only Word Password Recovery 5.0 but also other programs that can recovery your windows password, office password as well as rar password.

Openoffice

Save as Office 2003 or XP (or earlier) not as 2007 (which creates a .docx [note the x!] file which is different from a .doc file and which cannot be read by any other program than Office 2007 -which most people do not have)

This is probably your problem.

I have had no problem in saving to .doc and transferring files to other people.

This seems like a print driver problem. You may have to get an updated driver for your printer for Msoffice 2007.
