I guess it boils down to whether you are willing to put some money into it, and whether there is something on the tape you would like to salvage. If not, then a modern camera would definitely be more enjoyable, you would be able to connect it to your computer, save video to computer, etc.

What model of JVC?
Portable, table-top hi-fi type, model number?
If case-type with a bezel, which ejects, maybe the ejection mechanism is faulty.
There's at least one article in TIPS for this.
Otherwise if it has a pinhole at the front, bezel type, shove a paper-clip firmly in to manually eject.
I got the solution from your net only. Thanks it is wotking presently.you have to do simply take out the cassete and keepp the cassete door open. And then take both the battery out i,e one main battery and another small battery and leave camera in this psoition for two hrs and tehn place back battery in its position and then load cassete .It will work.I have tested it.Thanks a lot.
uploading problem, when i load my cassete it;s not loading. if i close the cartrige with out cassete it closes but with cassete it won;t close, i already give my camera to jvc service centre the jvc service technician put new cartrige, but i think it;s not alligned properly. And also condensation not comes on the screen
I have had the same problem...usually had success by taking off the battery, putting it back on, turning the power off and on, etc. It has always gone back in eventually. I also tried re-charging the battery and replacing. Could this be an old battery problem? Mine is 4.5 years old.
If u look in ur manual it tells u that its a self-diagnosis code!
Step 1: eject the casset and then put it back in record something step 2:disconnect the power cord of the AC adapror or remove the battery. step 3: reconect the power or battry and record step 4: Replace the casset!
Solutions
* The most frequent cause of this type situation is not having a power source attached, or a depleted battery pack.
* Once the power source is available, some models require manually unlatching and opening a cover.
* When the cover is fully open, the cassette will eject automatically after a few seconds.
* If the tape still will not eject, seek assistance from a Service Facility because you need a special tool to remove the tape without causing further damage.
