Hi

Is it possible to connect my i-Pod Classic to my Kenwood R-SE7 FM/AM Reciever or DP-SE7 CD Player maybe through the Auxillary input or the "digital optical" connection?

I have an old Kenwood that has CD, Phono and 2 vidio hook-ups. I suspect the "video" means a VHS tape player, will my DVD player work.on this unit.

You could have named the model to make this easier.

"PHONO" is the only designated connection on an audio device that is literal and exclusive. Nothing but PHONO will work right on it and old-school turntables would require it to preamplify and frequency-correct the tiny current produced by a Phono cartridge. Look up RIAA equalization.

All other analog stereo IN's and Outs are Line Level and GENERIC, meaning anything BUT PHONO, regardless of what the silk-screened labels say. So, yes, your DVD player's analog audio should work.
