Go into the forest and train.

Did this happen some particular time?  Perhaps apropos of some new software installation?  Because if you don't have anything else on the screen, and don't know how it got there, I pretty much conclude that you don't know what's going on and had better erase that system, run the maker's (Western DIgital or Seagate or Hitachi or Samsung) HD test utilities just in case, and install anew (or from backups.)
Honestly, if it was opaque to you and you aren't going to tell us what you had installed that might be saying that, (I would have guessed GEOS) and obviously was opaque to Google, what kind of intuition had you expected otherwise?  Cross-examination about the font and size?  What if the screen had said 'Tarts!'

Setting up my computer and moniter says, drive 0 not found:serial ata,sata-0 hit f1 to continue, when I do nothing happens.

Is the computer new? If so, return it. If not, Unplug from AC, reseat ALL HDD cables, reboot, If that fails remove the HDD , test, replace if necessary. Have you tried a system restore/recovery, If the computer does not ID the HDD, it's doubtful you can.

Hp screen wont start up i just get the blue hp screen f10 = start up esc= boot menu f11=system recovery f9 = dignoses when i pree these buttonms nothing happens tried unplugging everything and still...

If pressing F11 ("system recovery") does nothing, then your disk-drive, which contains a "system recovery partition" is inaccessible,
i.e., your disk-drive has failed.

You'll need to buy a new disk-drive, install it, and use the original "System Restore" set of CD/DVD disks to reinstall Windows onto the new disk-drive.

MY EMACHINE DESKTOP RECOVERY CD DOENT WORK

Hello
When booting up pc have you held the delete key or f2 key down to bring up the boot menu?Should be a option of cd dvd or hdd to boot first.

You want the cd dvd boot option on top or first.tThen reboot pc.
When asked hit any key to boot from cd, hit a key.Should start install.

If youve done this, clean the dvd or cd install disc with some windex and a paper towell, try again.

You can also do a system restore from control panel recovery option.

Sata hdd windows dell recovery cd will partition install windows

The system is originally designed to use IDE HDD, make sure the necessary chages for Sata HDD are made in the BIOS, next make sure the Recovery disc is fine without any scratches. You can order a new Windows OEM recovery disc by calling Dell tech support (1-800-624-9896-US) and try installing the OS. The disc will cost you not more than $12.

Sounds like you have a nasty virus that has corrupted your harddrive

so that means that the recovery portion is corrupted as well

Only shows compaq on screen

I work with Compaq computers now and usually your problem points to the hard drive. I know Compaq's will stay on that screen if the hard drive has failed. Try another hard drive would be my suggestion.

Hope this helps.
