    I found solution.

After pressing 'Learn' for 3 seconds press left arrow button to change the display to something like L:Sat. After that it is possible to enter the code.

You can find the remote control codes for different brands of devices from
http://www.hifi-remote.com/ofa/codes-tv.shtml#tv

If none of the codes work then we have two other solutions:

1. Searching For Your Code

If you have tried all of the set-up codes for your brand of equipment ,or your brand is not listed, and you are still not able to get the unit to respond, try the following procedure to search for your code.
If you don't find a code that works, the remote will flash four times when you reach the end of all the codes for this device type.

  1. PRESS the button for the device you want to program, (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc.), then RELEASE.
  2. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button until the red LED flashes twice, then RELEASE.
  3. ENTER 9-9-1 (two blinks on the remote)
  4. ALTERNATE slowly between the POWER key and the DEVICE (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc.) button until your device turns off. (On VCR, LD, and CD players use PLAY instead of POWER)
Make sure that the remote is pointed at your device during the search, You may have to press this sequences of buttons up to 100 times to search the entire library of codes.
  5. When your device turns OFF, PRESS the SETUP button and RELEASE it to lock in the code for your device.

We have just inherited a Yamaha RV-X592 Audio Receiver and have tried all the remote codes listed with the universal remote that we purchased. I have found two listed codes that turn the reciver off, but...

You need a learning remote or a "Logitech Harmony" or a "Universal Remote Control" (Brand name) Yamaha uses "Discrete Power Commands"
You will not find those in any remote under $70 or $80.00
If you don't want to spend the money, program the Yamaha's Remote to control your devices. It will control all features and functions, it will just take some time to program. Hope this helps

Yamaha RX-V630 Is not responding to the remote control unit

Replace the remote control with a universal remote (e.g. Logitech). It is more advanced and very user friendly with a help function if anything doesn't work.
Just follow the instructions in the unit's manual.
If you drop it; be sure to replace the batteries correctly.
Keep good batteries in it and enjoy the convenience of only one remote.
If still in trouble; just visit your local Yamaha dealer for help.

No sound when using Panny plasma with RX-V3800

Let me see if I understand. You have one HDMI cable linking your TV and AVR? This is only to send video and sound out to your TV from the AVR you will not be able to send sound back over this same cable. You'll have to use the TVs audio out and connect it to an input of the AVR. The "HDMI out" on the AVR is just that Out and not In. Remote for the 3800

I assume you were just entering manufacture codes. Some times this won't give you all the features you're looking for (like skipping tracks). Try going through the manual to assign buttons a particular function. It's a learning remote so it can learn from your other remotes by putting the two facing one another and going through the necessary button sequence laid out in the yamaha manual (page 104 in the RX-V1800 manual, it's in the advanced operation section)

CAUTION: All buttons are reprogrammable so make sure you have your source slider (on the right side of the remote) set to Source and not AMP or you'll overwrite the Amp functions and you'll have to reset the remote to factory settings and start over.

Subtitle Problem: Onkyo TX-sr605

The only remote that will definitely turn the sat subtitles on/off is the sat remote. The other subtitle buttons on the other remotes refer to the DVD subtitles and the subtitles generated by the tuner in the tv. The subtitle option is greyed out on the tv because you are not on the tv tuner.
