We have an LG french door refrigerator model LRFD25850ST. It has water that leaks onto the floor from the back of the fridge. We traced it back to a faulty water line that continues to crack even though we...

I take it your water line is not copper. It may be old and getting fragile. I would replace the line with copper and check the water pressure in your home to make sure it isn't too high. (the maximum water pressure for a residence is 80psi.)

I have a fridge freezer and for some time now the fridge keeps freezing and now the freezer seems to be leaking water?

If it is a frost free freezer, is is probably your defrost assembly that is bad. The leaking water might be associated or another problem. Is the refrigerator section staying cool?

Fridge wasn't cooling but freezer was working, now both aren't

Hi,Your husband did good job, after cleaning and vacuuming, did freezer (bottom) have excessive ice?, if there's excessive ice in bottom, after cleaning, you have a defrost problem, but if there're no ice in freezer after cleaning, you got freon (gas leak) , there's a condensate loop, that passes through ref. body, from compressor that naturally develop, freon leak after few years, by rusting, normally it can be by- pass. vacuum and refill with freon, if there's no freezing, but compressor running, you'll need a mechanic, you got a freon leak. good luck.

Freezer frost buildup; fan constantly running; water filter

Just had mine repaired. Tech told me that the tempearature settings on the display panel are not EXACT science. The fridge is cooled by blowing air from the freezer to the fridge and when the sensor in fridge reached approx desired temperature, the damper is closed.

The noise you hear periodically (water dripping) is the heating rod melting the defroster (hence frost freeze), which unfortunately sometimes spills into the blower motor to fridge, causing frozen motor, causing the infamous ER FF error code and fridge failure.

I reluctantly had LG to do the energy saver fix (recall) and it replace everything that the internet users are complaining about.

I have electrocool LG MOdel# GR-382R ser# 206MR17803. my bottom fridge cooler area is freezing up.

I have the same problem. It seems that the gasket around the freezer door and fridge door are no longer tightly adhering to the fridge therefore allowing the cool air from the freezer to continiuously entering the fridge storage and making evreything freeze up. I am trying to find out if I can purchase new gaskets and install them myself.
Any recommendation on where to find these and how to install them?
Thanks.

Cold box at the top of the fridge

This box is the evaporator which provide cooling for the whole fridge. They will only freeze things solid that are easy to freeze. Don't count on it being like the normal freezer.
