Remote seems 'dead' unless plugged into USB

Just bought a used Harmoy 550 on eBay and it only lights up or shows any text when the unit is plugged into the PC / setup software.

I tried multiple sets of batteries, but it seems dead in the water unless it's plugged in.

Any ideas?

Hold down power button while connecting usb to PC. Goto Logestic home site then support and download firmware.

I ended up getting a replacement unit from the eBay seller (it was still under warranty). I never could fix the original one I received, with firmware updates or anything...sorry!

I have a car booster pack that when plugged in to the wall it shows it is charging, but when you check on charge status it has not charged at all. What could be wrong with it?

Those things are like a little garden tractor battery inside
If it went dead over time and got frozen the battery may
be bad ,whey don't seem to do well unless used often.

My hp wireless mouse quit new battery's, reboot pc, reset mouse button, no light, seems dead "-(

HI there,

There is one sure-fire way to see if your mouse is alive. Plug its wireless receiver into a different computer and see if it works on that one. If it does, then you know that the USB port on the computer you usually use has the problem.

If it won't work on another computer then the sending unit inside the mouse, or the receiving unit you plug into the USB port is dead.

1981 550 suzuki one cyclinder is dead has spark and fuel and bike runs but start extremly hard seems cold blooded

Check compression of cylinders, all should be close the same. Swap spark plugs and check if problem cylinder moved. If bike sits for long periods of time then most likely it will be a plugged carburetor.

Remote is in safe mode

You can try this solution to your Harmony 550 Safe mode problem:

Harmony 550 Safe Mode Fix Safe Mode is a diagnostic tool in the Remote used for troubleshooting purposes. If the words "Safe Mode" or "Safe Mode Requested" appear on the remote, complete the following steps:

1. Ensure the Remote is in "Safe Mode Requested" by taking out the batteries, and disconnecting the remote from the USB cable.
2. Hold down the Off button and plug the remote into the USB.
3. Continue holding down the Off button for another 10 seconds. The remote should then display the words "Safe Mode Requested".
4. With the unit in "Safe Mode Requested", re-install the firmware by clicking Support on your home page.
5. Click Firmware in the Downloads section and follow the online instructions to upgrade the firmware.
6. Once the firmware upgrade is complete, click Update My Remote.
7. Insert new batteries into the remote.

Hope that helps.
