Olevia 27 " picture delayed

My Olevia TV is about 1 yr old. Recently when I turn it on (using the remote), there is about a 15 - 20 second delay before anything happens - Picture and audio.  The delay is new, as it has always powered up almost immediately.  Once it comes on, the picture and sound is find.  Any ideas?

Since I have noted many problems which can only be related to the power supply in this set, I'm afraid it may worsen and finally fail.
Modern power supplies are fairly complex devices (far more than a transformer and a few diodes) and are fussy about certain components (electrolytic capacitors) they require.

There was a flood of defective parts, failing because of a counterfeit electrolyte made in . . . China, of course.
There are literally millions of parts waiting to fail, some already installed, many more in the pipeline.
It will be years before they are all replaced and sorting them out is impossible since they do not externally differ from good parts.
Since they do not show up until they have been in operation for some (unknown) time, otherwise reliable manufacturers are suffering along with consumers.

Sound delay when using a hdmi cable

It is normal and real stupid---either ignore it (I won't) or go component as in a blind test done at our shop people could not tell on identical sets on HD program which was HDMI and which was Component---most of the time they thought the component was the HDMI picture

What is the tv code for olevia brand tv for sony

I'm not sure there is a code for the b107a. (There wasn't on my old Sony remote either.) I just bought a Sony RM-VLZ620 for about $20 and it does have codes for Olevia.

When I change the channel there is a delay before picture appears. It will say NO Signal for up to 20 seconds sometimes

Your problem is a problem generated from low signal. You will need to check your antenna (or source) for loose connections and alignment.

Delay light is flashing on tv, but wont turn on. Not sure if problem is tv or remote? Dont see light on remote when push in buttons?

The problem with the unit is power supply part number,MLT166A.If you can not find one you can try to fix yours.First you have to take out power supply,Replace 3 electrolytic caps EC18,EC19,EC20 all are 1000mf at 16 volt. Then find Z3 on same board,it is a 27 volt zener diode 1 watt, part number 1N4750A.Put board back in then unit should work.

Says no signal when switched to hdmi when there is one.

Have the same problem with a 532H - but here is what I did to resolve the issue:
1) Click your Menu button on the TV remote.
2) Go to Screen (click the right button)
3) Go to Main Picture Source (click the right button)
4) Select HDMI (click the Menu button when done)

Olevia lt 30 hv

You both need to IMMEDIATELY download your warranty from the Olevia website. Read it completely. If you are still under warranty, then contact them IMMEDIATELY in writing pursuant to the warranty and demand that they fix the TV for free pursuant to the warranty. Do not accept "No" for an answer. Document every communication and contact you make, including date, time, who you spoke with (first and last name and/or employee number), and the content of the communication.

Do not delay on contacting them, because the warranty is controlled by the date you purchased the TV. If it passes, then you are totally screwed. Olevia will ignore you.

ALTERNATE SOLUTION:
Do not buy any Olevia or Syntax products in the future. Tell everyone you know to not buy their products either.
