My Sony is about 5 years old. The TV worked fine and then there became a yellow ghost shadow and double vision this morning. What do you think could be the problem? I took the back off the unit to see if any lights were burned out but they were all fine.

Please help!!!!

I read this thread and I am wondering would this be the same issue if only a portion of the screen, say the left side was acting up or is there anouther issue? The Tv had the lines issue but I managed to fix that but now I need to correct this distortion problem.

Your tv has a convergence board problem. Two convergence IC's need to be replaced.
