Question about LG CHOCOLATE VX8500 Cellular Phone

When on speaker phone - incoming volume

When I set my phone for speaker phone, the party I call hears me fine when I talk. I only hear them as well as I would if the phone were not on speaker. That is, I have to pick the phone up and put it to my ear to hear them. My ring volume, etc. are VERY loud.

Can't hear the caller. He can hear me, though

When you cannot hear the other party talking usually this can be attributed to 2 things. The first being the volume of the unit in question you can always refer to your user guide on how to increase the volume. if after increasing the volume you still cant hear then the speaker of your unit is bad and needs to be replaced. This can always be done by any phone repair personnel.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

Why cant I hear the person on thep Phone incoming calls

First of all make sure the volume is high. Try talking in speakerphone mode. If you can hear in speaker phone mode, then your ear piece might be not working.

W220 hearing problem!

The internal screen settings only adjust volume of ringer, the external button on side adjusts ear piece/hand set volume.
If the volume buttons do not turn up the volume of the hand set then the handset is defective
