I bought the DTA800B1 converter box and I tried to program it to my tv but none of the codes you have listed work on my tv I have a emerson EWF2004A. Any more I could try???

Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. One among it has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily.

There are a lot of possible RCA TV codes programmed into the DTA800B1 remote.
Try the following three digit codes: RCA 000, 001, 005, 072, 073, 074, 075, 076, 077, 078, 135,
138, 140, 144, 150, 156, 159, 162, 163, 169, 171, 178, 229, 246, 249, 260, 274, 275, 293, 302 in order.

To program the remote. Turn on your TV manually and press PGM (to the left of the zero in the number pad section). The LED should light and stay lit. Type in the first 3 digit code and press OK (in the center of the arrow keys near the top). See if the gray volume up/down keys work to change the volume. If it doesn't work press PGM again and enter the next code.

Note that the converter box remote will only turn on and off, switch the input from Channel 3 or 4 to AV in, adjust the volume and mute the TV. It will not control any of the DVD functions. Your original TV remote will not control the converter box.

Find the user guide for your universal remote and use the RCA cable tv/satellite codes, and one should work for your RCA DTA800B1 converter box. My Sharp Aquos remote liked the RCA satellite code.

I own a One-for-All universal remote, and my booklet says the setup code for an Emerson TV (without a built-in DVD or VCR) is one of the following numbers: 0154, 0171, 0178, 0180, 0236, 0451, 0463, 1944, 1963. I can not guarantee these numbers will work with your remote, but it is worth a try.
