Hi,
Try this
Press & hold star button. If bell on display has a bar thru it will get rid of bar. Star button switches ringer On/Off.
Most carriers set their default "ring time until voicemail" picks up
time to 15 seconds. That time is controlled by the carrier. They will
normally extend that to 30 seconds. You need to call your carrier and
ask specifically about extending the "ring time until voicemail".
Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
Thank you for using fixya have a nice day:-)
Hello.
Give this a try:
Press & hold the Star button. The Star button switches ringer On/Off. Or, if you have a Phone symbol on screen, press the [x/c] key, Your sound may be muted
Hope this helps.
Is there a light that a call is coming in, but no sound ?? If you disconnect the phone from the answering machine, does the cordless phone work OK ?
Also, reset (disconnect then reconnect power) your router
Take your answering machine out of the equation and test the phone itself. Reset your router to see if it resolves your problem.

Usually answered in minutes!
My tesco digital cordless phone does not ring when dialled. It is not on mute, and I suspect it is something to do with the answering machine, but do not have the manual anymore.
I have used my mobile to ring the landline and there is a dialling tone but the phone does not ring. The answering machine light is constantly on, which I presume means my voicemail is full, but I cannot playback or delete messages because I only get a beeping sound when I press the play button.
I reset the phone but still no change. The phone is not used for outgoing calls, so I dialled a toll free number, but there is no tone. I am ringing the service provider tomorrow.
