Player plays each cd for approx 7 min than stops

Have you tried cleaning the lens? Did you also clean the surface of the disk very well before inserting it into the player?

If you have done all these and its not still working properly, then you would have to change the lens of your CD player completely.

sounds like it could be overheating maybe you could take the top off and check and see if there is a build up of dust in there

We have this problem all the time. Sadly, replacing the radio is the only answer.

try getting an aftermarket cd player and see if it does the same thing as well

i would suggest checking the wires on the speaker switch board, thats usually the main cause of this problem..but i dont recommend buying pioneers newer stuff

Today i brought a 98 ford and the dealer replaced the cassette player with a Kenwood KDC-MP6036 from a trade in they had. It was fine for 30 min approx then music stopped and "PROTECT" was displayed and now nothing works ???? what can i do

This unit has a problem when playing dual-layer discs of some kinds - read the warnings on the Magnavox website - playing the wrong kind of disc will cause an error that will require svc/repalcement to fix

You have not described the fault or machine type clearly, is it just a CD player, what make and model, shuts down,? CD play stops or machine goes into standby mode or what ?

If stops playing or maybe going into s/by mode, check the cable that connects the laser to the cct board.
