Question about RCA P52960 52" Rear Projection Television
I inherited a RCA P52960 recently. The picture and audio seem to work well enough, at least at displaying snow, static, and the menus. However the buttons are very confused, the power button does nothing and the volume up button turns the TV on. Only one other button works and it seems to jump through menus at random. In addition I have a Comcast universal remote and none of the codes it lists for RCA seem to work at all, I can't even figure out where the IR receiver is. I don't have the G-Link cable, if that means anything.

may have a corrupted eeprom which means you`ll have to call a tech, one thing you can try is;
Un-plug the tv`s AC power cord, wait 30 seconds, plug back in and pray, this will set re-set the micro to the default mode which may have gotten glitched by a power surge, hope it works for you.

SOURCE: Programming the remote
1. Hold on TV and POWER simultaneously (light comes on), let go
2. Press POWER then CH+ back and forth (light comes on), when TV turns off
3. press STOP, code is saved!
