Why my windows in administor account is not responding

You either have a virus infection or you need to reinstall windows. Run your virus scan.

Run MalwareBytes before or after your virus scan.
Go to www.google.com and in the search box type:"Download cnet Malwarebytes" (without the quotes). Download andinstall malwarebytes from the sites download.cnet/malwarebytes. When thesite opens up click on the Green Download button on the left. Do notclick the Red Download button, that's junk. When it finishes installing the GuiInterface will open up with an offer to Accept a Trial Version orDecline. CLICK DECLINE you want the totally free version. Run aQUICK SCAN. As it scans, if it finds infections the number will be inred. When it finishes scanning, click SHOW RESULTS. A notepad textdocument will open up showing you the results. You can close the textdocument and go back to the Gui Interface where you will click REMOVE SELECTEDRESULTS. The objects will already be selected for you. When itfinishes removing the objects click ok and it will sometimes reboot yourmachine.

If it still stalls, reninstall windows.

You've picked up a virus all right. Don't believe or try to open or download anything having to do with these pop ups. Download the the free verson of Malwarebytes here;
http://www.malwarebytes.org/
If you can't download normally, try to start in "safe mode with networking" and download. After download is finished, it may give you the option to run a quick scan immediately. Allow this and let it make the necessary repairs If you have anti virus protection now and your happy with it run a full scan now and make necessary repairs when done. If you don't have anti virus protection you can get it here for free;
http://www.avira.com/en/avira-free-antivirus
After the download from them run a full scan and let it make necessary repairs. Will probably take a couple of hours. When thats' finished, go back to Malwarebytes and run a full scan. This also will take a while. You can set your Avira to run automatically and in the wee hours of the morning. I run mine everyday.
Good luck
Dave

I have the HP Officejet 6500 printer/scanner/fax/copy. I have set it up with the USB cable (not wireless), and now every time I try and scan, it tells me: "No scan options." Help!

Are you running Windows 7 on your PC? This is a relatively common problem with this printer and Windows 7...

The fix from HP is to reinstall Windows 7... Yes. That is ridiculous.
HP considers this to be a windows problem and not a printer problem.

If you're running an OS other than Win 7 try reinstalling the drivers. You can find them here:

I did a complete recovery on my computer and it was taking two days. It kept saying, 'applying setting " but never did So I turned the computer off. What should I do know.

Open "My Computer" in Windows XP.

Find the icon for the hard drive you want to run ScanDisk on. You can run ScanDisk on the system's primary hard drive and also on any secondary hard drives or external hard drives. Right-click on the icon for the hard drive and select "Properties."

Choose the "Tools" tab from the hard drive properties window. The ScanDisk utility can be activated from the Error-checking box at the top of the Tools tab. To begin, click the "Check Now" button.

Note the two check boxes displayed. You will want to choose the "Automatically Fix File System Errors" box. This will perform a basic fast scan of the drive, which will take only a few minutes.

Put a check in the "Scan for and Attempt Recovery of Bad Sectors" box for a more thorough scan. With this checked, Windows XP will take 10 hours or longer to run ScanDisk depending on the size of your hard drive. Run this if you have noticed a problem with the hard drive's performance. For regular checks, run the basic check most of the time and the longer check only occasionally.

Hit the "Start" button to start ScanDisk.

Wait for Windows XP to finish running ScanDisk and view the report. ScanDisk will tell you what errors it found and fixed. Click the "Close" button when are finished viewing the report.
