Error 01

I have been having the same problem, and have read that you can carefully clean the lens contacts (take the lens off the camera body, the contacts are the metal parts) with a new pink eraser, or with >90% alcohol and a lint-free cloth. I tried the eraser thing, and it started to work, but is making the same error code again. I am going to try again with another pencil, and then with the alcohol before I send it in (I'm overseas so that would be a lot of $$$). Hope that helps someone!
