The screen connector that connects the two screens is not working anymore. I need to purchase a new one that will fit the screens. Where do I purchase this ? As of right now, we can only use the first screen not the second. I have two kids and that is more harm than good. Please help!

I have found a person that has the power cords. We got the same run around about the Disney supplier getting the parts in a "few weeks". I happened to come across Jamie on Ebay. He had refurbished players and mentioned that he had power cords. I bought two power cords from him in case I needed one in the future. I received them today and they are exactly what I was looking for. I don't know if I can give out email address so I will give you his Ebay seller ID. It is oshog23. I bought them for $10 each and it included USPS Priority Mail.

I had this problem and searched high and low for the cable that had a power cable and the green & yellow A/V cables. I couldn't find one anywhere. I visited my local Radioshack and found the solution! Since the second screen wasn't getting any power, I thought I would just plug the power cord into that screen to see if that would at least make the light turn green. It did have power. So, I asked the manager at Radioshack if there was a way to just get the power cable. He led me to the "Adaptaplug" 6-Ft. power cord (product # 2731740) and the two "Adaptaplugs" that would fit the units (product #2731705). They are "Adaptaplug-B" 0.4mm O.D. 1.7mm I.D. The cost for this was $23.24 I hope this solves your problem. It sounds exactly like what mine was doing. This seems a little high, but it is well worth it to my twins!

When using DVD player screen goes green, can it be tuned out?

Lot of questions cross my mind in your plea, first would be, have you tried connecting it to another TV (if it is a seperate player)?

If it is built in to the TV then that is a bad problem which would involve the set being serviced by an engineer because it is not a simple thing, possible outcome then would be a new set sadly.

If it is a separate player and works OK on another TV then it may come back to a lead or connector fault, also if your picture is All green (a blank green screen) then it could be a version of a more familiar Blue screen (on video's) meanining No input signal (connection lead problem) or TV fault similar to my next question.

If its a greeny picture of images then it could be again connection or leads but can also be a fault within your TV's internal signal switching system between input devices which may mean your TV needs a service (these days a new one).

Should it be HDMI type leads which couple your gear these carry a lot of signals on their connectors plus are very small subject to damage etc or loose fit.

Hope this helps.........

Where is the model number and where do I put it in online to get the correct service manual?

If it does not have a regular 3 line cable connector on back of tv screen you need to buy an adapter for it. I know most of the TV's I have including a older flat screen they have the HDMI connection or the 3 cable connection with yellow, white, red connections on back of tv for these older devices. Rich

I cant see on the screen properly anymore, but i can hear perfectly fine.

Unless an expensive unit just replace it---anything under 200 would not even be worth having fixed (a lot of them the connections/cable in the screen to main unit break)

My view screen onmy sony dvp 820 player went blank even though i can still play cd's

If your unit is out of warranty as was mine, I removed the battery, removed all the screws from the bottom side of the player, to gain access to the inside components, and reseated (unplug & re-plug) the LCD Screen's connector to the main system board and corrected the issue.

The only issue I had in doing this was finding all of the screws! You will need to remove all of the rubber pads from the 4 corners of the unit, and also remove the warranty validation sticker that covers one screw. Once all of the screws were removed the bottom lifted off of the unit easily thus providing access to the components inside.

The LCD Screen's connector is what feeds the signal from the player's video output to the the screen. For my unit it was a small white rectangular plug that had several wires attached to it. This plug fits into a receptacle on the main system board.

I guess with all of the movement of the screen that this unit provides the connection had worked lose over time.

I hope this helps!

HT762TZ -hdmi off

Try new hdmi cable. Try different inpus on set. Try another known good signal source to determine is tv or souce device if at fault. If aother hdmi connector on set ok then replace main brd in tv, if none of the hdmi inputs work even with known good cable and known good signal sourse the replace main board in tv

Need a replacement screen, its cracked any chance on getting a replacement, is it worth replacing?

Hey how are you!!!

What is your unit? If your unit is a laptop ou need to follow this.

You replaced the broken LCD screen in your laptop with a new screen. Does this sound like your problem? Let’s find out what could be wrong and how you can fix it.
First of all, I assume that your new LCD screen is compatible with the old one. Different screens require different video cables. Make sure you new screen is compatible with your laptop.
OK, let’s say you accidentally damaged the LCD screen in your laptop. A part of the screen still works fine but you cannot use it like that so you decided to replace the screen yourself.

Her is some instructions to follow.

Before you start to panic, check all cable connections again. Check connection between the video cable, LCD screen and inverter board. Reconnect cables just in case.

Take a closer look at the connection between the video cable and LCD screen. It’s possible you accidentally pulled the video cable from the connector during the screen installation.

The video cable has to be seated properly, all the way down.

Also, on some older LCD screens there are very thin pins inside the connector. Take a look inside the connector, make sure there are no damaged (bent) pins.
You can straighten bent pins with a very small screwdriver but this procedure requires a lot of patience and concentration.
Fortunately, most newer LCD's have a different type of connector, without fragile pins inside.

OK, you have reseated all connectors and cannot see anything wrong but the new screen still is not working. What’s next?

Remove the new screen and connect the old one. If the old one works properly (except the damaged area) but the new one is dead, apparently the new screen is defective and has to be replaced.
Hopefully it has warranty.
Here’s another scenario. The new screen kinda works. You can see a very faint image but there is no back light.
If that’s the case, disconnect the new screen from the inverter board and plug in the old screen instead, as it shown on the picture below. If the back light inside the old screen lights up, apparently the new screen has defective back light lamp and has to be replaced.

Good luck

Player works fine, speaker works fine but screen is blank...

This dvd player is having a problem with the video input /output circuits. This could be a minor problem with a loose connector or some over expanded solder joints. It could also be a problem with the video ic have a problem with its circuits. The connector problem and the possible cold solder joint problem can be repaired. The dvd player must be taken apart and the connection cleaned and repaired. If the problem is with the video solid state components, you will have to have it repaired by a service center. The video has a main ribbion connector that connects the laser lens to the main board video inputs. This ribbion cable usually will run under the laser transport mechanism. It is connected to the main board and laser transport by clamping connectors. You can look and see if this connector is loose or bent and has lost its function. Try cleaning the contacts points of the connectors and the connectors on the main board and laser transport. Also look for bad or cold solder joints in the areas of the connectors. Try to resolder these points.Use new solder to insure a good connection. Remember to only work on these dvd player with all power disconnected. Always wear anti-static wrist bands and gloves when working on the dvd player to prevent further damage. If the cleaning and repairing the of the possible cold solder joints do not repair the problem, you probably have a bad video chip and should replace the dvd player.I hope this information helps you with your problem.

Do you know where I can get a new video cable that links the two screens on my dual set?

Radioshack has what you need. Take the unit up there and tell them you need a 'B' tip adapter and a 6ft long adaptaplug chord to fit both of the B tips on. This worked for me in connecting one screen to the next.
