Everything is fine except no sound any advice
I have had the same problem with 2 microsoft hdmi cables..
used another and all ok
No sound but picture

everything works apart from sound checked leads and settings for both tv and xbox 360 and tryed lense cleaners all to no avail please please help me?!
i connect my xbox 360 through hdmi and the picture is fine but no sound. i tried with different hdmi cable and still no sound. i switch to component and stereo audio and still no sound...help

my 360 works fine on the bedroom tv with monster hdmi, but no sound on the living room tv with the supplied microsoft hdmi.
Microsoft is aware of the problem. Occurs via HDMI. Component cables should work until the fix comes out. Many reports are people using Vizio TV's (like me).
i have a problem like this but its the console thats faulty.
I know my hdmi cable is good because I can hook my friend's 360 to it and their console gets sound, but mine still does not.
I just switched TV's and I plugged in my xbox 360. It has no sound but the picture is fine. I'm using the HDMI cable because I can't find the one that connects with the jacks. If I plug it into my other TV which is not very old, it works fine. We tried a DVD player on the TV and there was sound. Ive fiddled with everything that has to do with sound in the menu. Help?
I just swapped from an old 360 to a newer one with HDMI (not an elite) and have connected via HDMI but have an amazing picture with no sound.
Connecting my blu ray laptop to the TV works fine having changed the sound output of the laptop to HDMI, is there a similar fix on the Xbox that I have missed??
