Im assuming that your cook top works fine and that the broil is working fine. You need to replace the oven ignitor. The automatic gas valve is equipped with a sensor that opens the valve. if the ignitor doesn't heat up the sensor, then the valve will not open. replacing your ignitor should solve the problem.

My oven stopped working on my frigidaire range. All top burners still work. What could be the problem?

Can you clarify a couple of things for me please:
Is this a gas hob and gas oven, or is the oven electric?
If it is gas, does it have a pilot light? (and is the pilot light on?)
If gas, does the oven light for a moment and then go out or does it not even light?

Oven is slow ot light and has a gas smell when

Hi, this sounds like a weak igniter, it would have to be a gas oven and the symptoms usually are: takes longer than normal to ignite the burner, may or may not smell gas in the oven, if it does light the burner, there may be delayed ignition (pop), does not maintain set temperature or burner does not come on fully, eventually won't heat at all. On gas ovens, a glo igniter is like a light bulb, the more you cook, the faster it wears out. Bottom line, needs to be replaced. Good luck.

The gas oven will not light. gas burners light but oven does not

When the bake igniter becomes weak or burns out, your oven would not bake. The bake igniter is usually mounted on the oven burner. It's about 1 inch by 4-8 inches (depending on the model), and comes in round or flat styles. If you don't see the igniter glow at all, it's probably burned out. Replace the igniter if found defective. Note: one of the exceptions could be that your oven is set to automatic mode instead of manual. If this is the case, set your oven to manual mode and check again.

If the bake igniter glows red and not bright yellow or white, it is probably because it is too weak. When this happens, the safety valve would not let the gas out into the oven burner. A weak igniter must be replaced.

A faulty igniter is probably the most common cause, however there are others:

O-defective thermostat
O-defective selector switch
O-defective gas safety valve
O-defective gas valve coils

Maytag gas oven doesn't heat, but oven's pilot light is on.

Get the oven checked out by a professional, if you have a gas leak you can easily blow up the entire house and you with it. I think you have a faulty gas valve based on what you wrote
