Question about Maytag Dryers
Can anyone help me? My parents gave me a dryer with a broken timer and no model number. Said I could keep it if I could figure out which part it takes. I've narrowed it down via the internet to model #MDE6400AYQ or MDE6400AYW. They are identical on the outside....what does the "Q" and the "W" designate?
Also, I looked up the Timer part for both model numbers on the Sears website and sawy that both list a "Series 10" and a "Series 16" for both of those model numbers.....how do I know which to get? They guys at my local Sears store are definitely the laziest customer service people I've ver met and don't know which to order and refuse to look the difference up.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
