My Elisimo keeps stopping in the middle of an embroidery, red light on, presses foot lifter locked, sits for a minute or so and then green light comes on and i can continue embroidering. Is it board?

may be the safety device activating if it hasn't been oiled in a while. Make sure the area around the machine and embroidery arm is free of anything that could hit it and cause it to stop or strain.

The safety device has been activated

Turn off the power supply and open the needle plate.

Remove the bobbin and bobbin case.

Clean the shuttle and surrounding area from any lint or thread that may have accumulated during use.

If the problem continues, the machine will need to be serviced by a Brother dealer.

Error message on Brother SE-270D sewing machine

The safety device will activate if the machine has a bind or is unable to run at correct speed. If you turn the handwheel is it tight/hard to turn? if it is than thats it. Now what is binding the machine has to be diagnosed.
