Locks up on boot

I have a Toshiba Satallite A 105 and I turned it on and it will no longer boot. It gets about 2/3 of the way through the bar at the bottom and it locks. If I push f2 to get into the BIOS it says please wait and locks in the same place. I pushed esc to see the details rather then the boot flash screen and it stops right after it says Video BIOS shadowed.

I have already tried pulling out the drives and trying to boot with less. And I have had no luck…

Any ideas?

When it boots, press F8 select previous boot that worked...sounds like yu're having some disk issues, or you installed some driver that doesn't belong there...If it boots now, go to my computer, select the c drive with the right mouse, choose properties, choose options/extra check drive check both boxes and answer yes to a scheduled disk check. reboot the computer to fix the disk errors... what Pin Locked...

I have a new Garmin NUVI 57 LM. I have it plugged into my computer to charge. How long should it take to get charged?

Charging via a PC is not the quickest way to charge a GPS because many USB ports can not supply enough current, so the battery will take longer to charge. Using an AC adapter is a better way. Leaving the unit to charge over night should be fine. The way to tell if the GPS is fully charged is to look at the battery icon on the main screen of the GPS. It consists of 4 bars. 4 bars = fully charged. 3 bars = 75%, 2 bars = 50% and 1 bar = 25%.

I have a nuvi 2797LMT that locks up on booting.

Connect your Kindle to computer. After 5 minutes while still connected, press and hold (or slide and hold) Power button for 40 seconds. Also, make sure your kindle is always up to date with the kindle firmware. You have to go to the garmin.com site and download the "garmin express" on your computer and this software will read your unit to make sure its up to date.

SATALLITE Wont turn on

This is a common problem with the Nuvi 3xx and 6xx series and has nothing to do with the battery. A component has failed and needs to be replaced. Further info on this problem can be found here:

MY TOMTOM ONE IS WAITING FOR A VALID GPS SIGNAL I HAVE ALREDY STARTED TWICES

Turn on your tt and let it bootup. After it has booted up go to the map screen. On the bottom right where the bars are for satellite reception. Tap the bars this will take you to the screen telling you the device code etc. On the upper far right where the battery icon is tap the screen again. This will take you to a screen showing the satellites. If you see grey bars on the graph just wait awhile. Sometimes when your tt has not been turned on for awhile or you have turned it on after traveling a few miles it may take up to 30 minutes to get a lock.
Hope this helps

Magellan 3250 won't update

Hi, I had the same problem with my 3200. Got the update, and it bricked my unit. After 3 weeks of searching the net for solutions, all of which did not work, I called Magellan Tech Support today. Simply told them that I was updating the maps, update failed, and now the unit will not boot past the blue magellan screen with the progress bar. They asked for some information, including the email address that you used to register the product, and the serial number of the unit, as well as the map update information...which you had to register to get the unlock code. They are able to see all of this c in their tests on the unit, which of course did not work. I was then given a RA#, and account #, and was assured that I would get a pre-paid shipping label via email within 24 hours. All you have to do is pack the unit and take it to fed-ex with the label. They will fix your unit with the updated maps, and return it to you via Fed-Ex. Took no longer than 15 minutes on the phone, which beats the 3 weeks of research that did not help. Problem solved. Just call Tech Support, this is a well-known problem, and they will fix your unit and update the map. Hope this helps.

Magellan 2200T won't completely boot up

Reset unit, and then turn off, but hold power button for at least 10 seconds, then power back on, and when ever you turn off unit, hold power button for 10 seconds, had the same problem with mine, this solved it, it seems that just turning off the unit till screen shuts down puts it in a sleep mode. Hope this solves your problem.
