Problem for Digital Cameras

Advent MP82 camera settings
While changing the settings on my camera I managed to change the battery setting from Alkaline to NiMH. I am not using NiMH so now when I switch the camera on it says "replace battery" . I cannot change the setting back because the camera wont work.
Is there anyway I can reset the settings?
Note: the batterys are new and worked perfectly before I changed the settings.
Please help I am going on holiday next week and need my camera.

- erm thnaks for the solution but that didn't work when I tried it about a month ago :D I had to take the camera back to Currys and they replaced it with a Kodak C813 so thats good cos its a better camera :)So all good really and my new camera is great!

- thanks fr your help but I tried that a month ago when the problem happened :D I now have a new camera I took it back to currys and they exchanged it with a Kodak C813 which a better camera. Its all good the new camera is great! :)Same Problem

- I just changed the battery type setting of my camera advent MP82 and it didn't ever work even if i changed batteries. I don't really know what to do- yara bruno

- Exactly the same.Switched mine to niMH put in charged batteries. Nothing. Just put in brand new alkaline. Nothing. Any thoughts.
