My son changed the password on Samsung Focus phone and is locked out because he cant remember the new password. It keeps saying he is locked out for 2 hours until we can try again when incorrect code is put in. The only option is to make an emergency call, but no other buttons besides numbers on passcode screen shows. I've taken out sim card and tried to reboot, but nothing happens. What do we do?

If you're still stuck. More then likely the only thing to do is a factory reset, I locked my own self out of the phone within the first 20 minutes I had it. Only after a certain amount of incorrect inputs, it put a time limit, and at the end of the time, every failed attempt doubled the amount of time I had to wait. You will lose everything on your phone if you do you do this.

1. Press and hold the Camera, Volume Down, and Power buttons simultaneously.
2. Release Power when the phone vibrates, but continue to hold down Camera and Volume Down.
3. Release Camera and Volume Down when the Format prompt is displayed on screen.
4. Press Windows logo.
5. Press Windows logo again to confirm the hard reset.

This is exactly what I did, and it worked.
