Error 1201consult manual/alignment problem

My printer is out of alignment after replacing both cartriges and I'm also getting an error 1201 reading

I've done some troubleshooting (changed cartiridges, cleared print queue, etc) and so far my machine will work a few times & then resort to same error code 1201

Is there an easy way to correct allignment problem? Once cartridge is installed, it supposedly goes through an allignment cycle...

This can be related to the sensors and can be really hard to fix. It may not be worth the time and effort necessary on a $100 inkjet.

Rx680 epson ink cartridge error

I was changing my cyan cartridge and got this error. I thought for sure it was that cartridge. Tried a few things including pulling them all out and putting them all back in. Didn't work.

Finally, I found a place in the software that showed the info on all the cartridges. Turned out the light cyan was not reading. Took it out and rubbed the contacts with a pencil eraser. Voila! Problem solved.
